Picked up some doors cheap from a guy in NJ he had a badass rig and decided to make a fj with 4runner parts, sasd and all it was sweet , he still has 4doors and a rear axel with the e locker. I got the doors for 150 so half doors are my project this winter . Let me know if anyone wants his contact info

What did you do to your 3rd gen today?

Worked on replacing the rear carpet after work. The rear seats have a fiberboard backing. Mine were in rough shape from the previous owner. They disintegrated during removal. So I found some packing material at Lowes that was the exact same thickness and strength. Here it is below some pallets. Best part it was free. I used the old back as a stencil and used a jigsaw to cut. Will finish the rest tomorrow.

Put this thing in yesterday , took a while to find a unit that would fit without having to cut the dash pice , and also have a tilt angle adjustment for the screen.

I've always wondered with how hard it is to see the screen with it being so low, is it hard to see the display or no ?

nope not hard at all far better then my old single din pioneer I had in there where I couldn't see what radio station i was on or song playing on XM due to how the sun and light hit that area.

It wouldn't free spool. 4wheelparts replaced under warranty. I paid difference of $53 and got synthetic line. Didn't get there warranty this time. Smittybilt gives these a lifetime mechanical warranty and 3 year electrical.

Are you doing the LBJs at the same time as the struts? I was thinking of doing that to make it easier to swap the new struts in.

i hope you like visiting 4wp... or mailing a winch... now that you did not get the warranty from 4wp, because you will be sending that winch back a lot...

my advice, sell the new winch time meow, and use that money to put towards a Warn winch and never have the issue again, no worries about sending it in because one day it just decided to not work. -what if it had done that when you actually needed the winch? just some food for thought
