Because if you can't afford $250 for a couple new catalytic converters you should save your money and fix it right. And 200,000 miles is nothing if you take care of it but what would you know about that. Your obviously very young :ybrick: when you get a bit older you will realize the importance of doing things right. What are you even doing on this site that is for the most part dedicated to properly maintaining and taking care of our T4R's

I have no problems affording the converters. I just don't give a rats ass about replacing them. It's a CA emissions model, which means it's more expensive and more finicky, and I don't live in CA, so why should I worry about their emissions standards?

I do things right that need to be done right. Satisfying a CA emissions requirement isn't something I'm even remotely concerned about. Now, feel free to do things however you like on your vehicle, and I'll maintain mine the way I see fit. I'm damn sure not going to take maintenance critiques from someone who can't even manage to distinguish the proper times to use "your" and "you're" in a sentence.

And just for the record, I'm 40 years old, and have been wrenching on cars for over 25 years, so you can take your condescending attitude and stick it in your ass. imp:

Did this on sunday but changed valve cover gaskets, re sealed half moons, changed spark plugs, changed oil (royal purple, all I will ever use and have ever used since 2004), Changed PCV valve and grommet.
Will be flushing cooling system this weekend, and blue printing front bumper build

One thing I hate about this stereo is that if you plug your iPhone into the front USB port, the stereo automatically defaults to the "ipod" player and starts playing whatever is first on your iPhone/iPod. Which in my case is that crappy free U2 album that Apple  forced onto my phone. I don't store music on my phone so it always goes to that U2 crud. I need to get it off my phone because I'm sick of hearing it every time I plug in. :frusty:

I've certainly learned a lot since joining this forum and learning how to do things myself that I used to pay others to do, thanks to all of the excellent how-to threads here and help from everyone

Comes in two pieces and is glued together with some kind of heavy duty glue stuff. I haven't tried it yet but I will soon.

Oil cooler and running boards

Installed B&M 70268 transmission oil cooler and removed the running boards. I didn't see this thread last weekend otherwise I would've put OME 906/880 Bilstein lift on here. Next mod is poly rack bushings.

If I read correctly this cooler is full of engine oil?? How did you connect the lines to the block?? Im doing this same thing to my transmission. I planned on also adding a temp sending unit so I could monitor fluid temp exiting the trans in line to the cooler. Looks good bro nice job.

The B&M 70268 is a transmission fluid cooler, not engine oil. You can Google that model number for more info.

I like that I can change the color. I have not updated any of my interior lights, so I changed the radio to orange to match the existing lights

Hooked my brand new trailer up to it and towed it home

Stealth Titan 7x12 with 6.5 ft interior height, electric brakes. I didn't have the brakes hooked up on the way home (80 miles) and it stopped just fine. My brake controller is still being installed. The 4runner handled it just fine, towing at 65mph @ 2900 rpm. Transmission Temps were 150-170.

I got 10.5 mpg lol

The silicone vacuum line came in last night. I started replacing the brittle lines first and will get to the others when time permits. The interior LED's arrived last night as well, so they got changed. Gotta love the quick easy upgrades.
