I was gonna say if you like your music to sound PHENOMENAL, plug your iPhone in the USB port. It uses the head unit's DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) and just gives the music a much fuller sound.

So I tried this on your recommendation and you are 100% correct - the difference in sound quality is very noticeable even with stock 16 year old speakers and no sub.

What did you do to your 3rd gen today?

Removed the little sticker guards on the rear doors and it looks 100% better. Needs some touch up paint from where scratches in it were though.

Also removed the mud flaps. Does anybody know how to cover up the bolt that is in the rear bumper?

Switched from 5000k Bi-Xenon HIDs to 6000k LED headlight bulbs. The light is a tad bit bluer, but the output of the LEDs is much smoother than the HID kit in stock reflectors.

But how bad is it for on coming traffic though? Thats my biggest concern about getting a pair of LED. Blinding them is just as dangerous as having poor lighting.

They look less blinding than the HIDs but they are pretty bright. The reason being is because the HIDs would reflect off the top half of the housing whereas these reflect on all sides due to their design.

Not sure about oncoming traffic, but it can be bright if you're behind a car that's lower than you.

I run 6000s or 8000s (I can't remember) and have never had oncoming traffic flash me, and they are very bright. The key is properly adjusting the headlights to maximize visibility and minimizing blinding oncoming traffic.

Ran into two other lifted 3rd gens at Oreillys in east dallas, unfortunately i was rushed for time and didnt have a chance to talk to them. lifted SR5 with a RTT and a lifted light blue with full bumpers, swing out tire carrier, and sliders.

picked up a couple large rolls of wire and spend about 3 hours soldering and running wiring/looming for my ditch lights getting installed next week. also cleaned up the wiring under the dash. unfortunately when i got done, i realized my rear aux light doesnt work now. the dash switch lights up and gets power, but the light itself wont turn on. it was a cheap LED light, and i havent used it in a couple weeks. so now i dont know if the light just broke, has been broke, or i messed up the wiring somehow.

went ahead and ordered a set of CBI ditch light mounts. had to take advantage of the free shipping and shirt
