What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Were the red horns too much for you? I thought my red Hellas would annoy me and they did at first actually, but they've grown on me since.

How long did it take before they grew on you? I picked up the yellow ones, I'm still trying to get used to them, it's only been a few weeks and I rarely talk to other drivers with my horn.

Not today but Sunday did an oil change. hasn't burned a drop and was still golden brown
Finally installed my extended rear bump stops I picked up from [MENTION=116387]Unner[/MENTION]
Also gave her a quick interior detail along with a polish and wax

Those look nice! I was noticing the bump stop block does not have a tab welded to wrap the frame. Under lots of flexing this can cause the entire bump stop to rotate on the frame since it's bolted with a single bolt and causes a pivot point. Just something to watch for. Easy fix.

After about half a day I liked them just fine and abandoned the idea of painting them black.

Sound deadening.

Storage compartment mod... Way more space, the sound deadening is 3 to 4 layers thick here to prevent denting the panel and might have a sub in there.

The crack was there when I bought it. Have no idea.

Finally got my hood color matched and installed my LC shocks Also I'm being a lazy @$$ and not wanting to buy a 200$ hood scoop anyone have one for cheap :naughty:

so why did you switch from fox shocks to lc? Damn too bad i didnt pick up a hood scoop i found in a wrecking yard in oakland that had a sport edition part out in sunfire red. I was about to buy the scoop but passed on it. My bad i know that doesnt help :ybrick:

Shes My daily - love my 96, but few things im trying to learn from it. like why it doesn't auto UNLOCK all the doors on the driver side key door. it locks when I turn it one way, but the opposite, only unlocks driver door. passenger door does it fine.. argh.

Safety feature, try turning it a second time and hold for a few seconds.

Dang, Denver losing another fine 4r? Good luck selling the wheels, I'd scoop em up just because - but I already have 8 wheels and tires filling my shed.

Thanks for the info Ill definitely keep an eye on it and worst case Ill weld a chunk of metal on the inside of each against the frame.
Now that you mention it the stock one wraps around the pad its bolted to

Yesterday I had the Front, Rear, and Transaxle fluids changed. Also had the fuel filter replaced.
Today I changed the spark plugs, wires, cleaned the TB and MAF, and replaced the IAC valve. I then took her on a 150 mile loop around the area to test her out. So far so good! My RPMs used to fluctuate randomly while driving. It felt like it was down shifting or something. It would also idle around 1300 RPMs when in Park.
Now it runs so smooth that it feels unnormal since it was off for over a year.
I determined it was the IAC by cleaning it a few months ago. The issue went away for about 3-4 days then came back (commute to work is 16 miles). I think the magnet stopped working properly. Never threw any codes either.

I finally and suddenly opted in to this project after work. Was easy. Everything comes apart like it appears. I highly recommend everyone do this. It's like I have a brand new driver seat.

Hugely more complicated on my 02 Limited. Lower cushions can be swapped,
but not seat frames.
