What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Test drove it 215 miles to see if my fuel pump replacement yesterday had fixed my issues. Same sh!t as with fuel filter, only temporary relief. I don't even need this car, not sure why I keep messing with it. /tears

You keep messing with it because it's a problem that can be solved. I build android ROMs for a hobby and you have no idea how many times I've asked myself why I bother. It can be so incredibly frustrating. But when you figure it out all the frustration is somehow worth it. A lot of times it's the really simple shit that you overlook that ends up being the issue.

Prob cuz you have so much blood, sweat, and tears into it... + the fact that it's a 3rd gen 4runner, need I say more?

I put my front sway bar back on and it feels like it handles better than a lambo lol I had gotten used to the body roll. I figure the tires being chewed up wasn't worth the travel I was getting.

Also finally took off my running boards. Looks way lifted lol my wife's not gonna be happy when she finds out.

What tires you have on? I have 285s and it rubs bad up front almost stops me. Did you extend the bump stops?

im not sure, ill have to check after work. i believe they are 275s tho. stock bump stops, no issues with rubbing other than catching on the rear mud flaps under full flex

I FINALLY got around to threading a new bolt through the CAT heat shield. sucker would rattle against the mount, making the most gawdawful buzzing noise at low speed driving through neighborhoods.

I had to weld the shield to keep it from rattling, but yeah horrible noise. I got mine from rock auto... forget which brand, probably walker.

Made a cup holder for my Nalgene bottle for $1.70. Parts store generic cup holder, cut off end, heat and bend to form a clip shape and put it on the door. Put some furniture felt pads on it to secure it even more and prevent plastic on plastic rubbing.

I did this once, well almost the same thing. Wound up with a 32oz drink all over my floor. Yours looks a little better than mine. I hope it holds up.

Got the Rola on and mounted ski rack inside which works out well being just a little higher than the rack sides. Also found this will work quite well year round for holding trail gear...shovel etc. with room for high lift and other stuff on side.

Bolted the two pieces together and fabricated the factory Rola mounts so it sits down on my crossbars for a bit lower profile. Like it.

Painted my bumpers with duplicolor trim and bumper paint. Will get a better pic of front bumper painted tomorrow.

ive had a few people say that... maybe its how aggressive the tread is? those pictures are aired down to 12-14 psi as well
