ill let him know, he doesnt want to weld on other peoples stuff for now because he can only use flux, once he gets an argon tank he will be more confident in his welds, he hasnt welded in like 10 years lol hes a tech at the dodge dealership here.

Just had the clutch replaced on our 2000 SR5. Gave out with 199,800 on it, I think it was the original. Cost me $850 including turning down the flywheel at my garage guy. New Bilstein 4600's are next, the drivers side rear shock was broken off at the top bolt. No wonder it bounced. This'll be a good oppertunity to change the fuel filter and the E brake while it's up on the lift.

I understand what you mean, the leather doesn't help on cold mornings/nights.
This is the dual stage Dorman heated pads. I know there are other brands available but this brand has worked well for me in the past. Each kit will come with hog ring pliers. They're worthless, you can put them aside.

To get power to the seats. I just purchased one and tapped both heated seat pads to it. I found a fuse slot next to the fuse box next to your left knee area that's powered by ACC (accessory) or IGN (ignition).

I don't know if you have already taken seat covers off before but it is a good idea to get the right tools for dealing with the hog rings (the metal rings holding the seat covers to the foam). The task in my opinion is slightly difficult and a pain and very time consuming. BUT.. I have done this before so coming into it this time I bought the right tools for the job and it saved me hours of pained labor. I suggest getting this:

Use the hog rings that come with the Dorman kit, they are long enough for our application. I juse use two needle nose pliers when installing the hog rings back in.
