What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Finally sold my stupid running boards...only took 3 months on CL. Adding that money to the slider fund.

Sold them? I just removed mine and body moldings a short time ago...in preparation for Bushwacker extend a flares. The running boards are sitting in my $200 a month storage unit with my jetski. I did not think there would be a market for Running boards.... I hope you sold them to someone who will pick them up or you will deliver them. I cant imagine what that would cost to ship.

I ordered rock rails too this week. I like the savage model with the kick out. i'll have both installed at the same time because i dont have access to a welder. I think i'll have them painted or coated with the "rhino lining". I had a lady friend slid around once trying to get into my low ass runner.

You wouldnt think there is a market for running boards but believe it or not when i posted mine on ebay i had quite a few folks interested in them.. I just recently sold my 2nd set a few weeks ago for $260 shipped. I live in SF ansld i sent them to the Eastcoast which was roughly $90 via Fedex ground.. I never thought i would sell them for that much

I had them listed on CL for $75. A local guy came and got them. His wife has a 98, and she ran over a landscaping rock, crushing the passenger side runningboard. He was just looking for cheap replacements.
It took a while to sell them, but I wasn't in a huge hurry. They were just taking up space. YOu never know what people are looking for on the cheap.

I sold the ones of my '97 Limited for $200. The guys drove down from NY to pick them up. Same thing, he ran over something and broke one of them. They're crazy expensive to buy new replacements.

I actually modified a moving box for them and wrapped the box with $1 store tape and off they went.. Buyer was satisfied when they got the package.. I actually had to take off the brackets nothing but a few screws

Thanks for the tip.... i had to fashion a box for the moldings and that was did not take too long.. so the RB'S SHOULD BE A SNAP

The Brembos any better quality that the OEM? I will be doing this upgrade shortly. I was preparing to go OEM.. and so far you are the 2nd person who is going to be going brembo. 231mm?

Brembo makes quality brake products. They are an OEM supplier for a couple of manufacturers I believe. I didn't go with 231mm, just stayed with the stock size. I can report back on how I like them in a couple days, but on the drive home from work they felt good!

Thanks for the reply... I thought i heard that somewhere about Brembo but again i was not sure... I had the shock of the lifetime when i was at my local dealer and found out what a OEM 231 caliper goes for... I thought it criminal... I think i'm going to bite the bullet and take it like a man... I also tow other toys, So i think this is i want to do.

New fuel filter, front pads and rotors, maf sensor, plugs, tranny fluid, oil & filter. I think that's about it. Runs great, time to plan the next upgrade/maintenance project.

If you decide to go with Brembo rotors look for them on Amazon.com, the prices are decent and the shipping is quick.

My friend sold me these subs, an amp, and the stereo for $160, and i had to buy a couple extra things totaling it out at $280. For that price, these things bump hard, loud and clear! I love em. I don't know how to make the antenna go up tho... :shrug:

It won't power up on its own. If you want to keep using it your going to have to re-wire it. I've seen some people hook it up to a switch and flip the switch when they want the radio ok. Search in the 3rd gen section you'll find it.

I wired the power antenna wire into the new harness, you should have an extra power wire in that harness that is not in use.
