Thanks to all, we count our blessings everyday.

Our mid-twenties son is accomplished and trusted by those who do business with him. He has always been involved in automotive ventures inadddition too being a Toyota certified tech, currently a Toyota asst service mgr and a well established side business fabricating vintage hotrods. His team projects warranted invites to SEMA the last two years.

Having said that, it goes without saying we fondly recall laying on our backs in the carport wrenching on a budget and having the time of our lives. What a sense of accomplishment when it all came together and you made it happen.

Perks come in different ways, from getting a tip on how to get something done, to discounts on parts or having built a business which affords you to get things done a bit easier.

What you never forget is where you came from and family.

I appreciate the kind words and advice over the years.......

I went 2 for 3. I have already had the rear shocks replaced one of them just rusted away and clanked around until it was fixed. and the valve cover leak repair has been scheduled when i get back from Japan. which will be in october... The axle seal failure? well i hope i never have to deal with that. it sounds expensive.

Had the p1135 code thrown twice last week, figured it was time.

Today replaced the a/f sensor (got from amazon for $101). 138k miles.

Well since you asked.......I've been patiently searching for a complete unrestored rust free 1957 Nomad and finally found the "one" 4 mons ago. We are in the process of doing a full frame-off rotisserie restoration. The biggest challenge with vintage resto is finding a complete project vehicle. Chasing down good orginial parts is impossible and very time consuming. So finding the right foundation is worth it in the long run. It's a 2year project since most of the work is being done between commissioned project. But it's just the way I like it, the good old days, with the acception of a few more helpers, lawn chairs, coolers, food da da da da........ you know the drill. LOL

You mentioned your son, children do grow up very fast. It's great that you feed your son's spirit; to try different things and explore life to the fullest. They are forever watching and learning, especially from us their parents. Being a good example will help them learn diplomacy or the skills of handling their own affairs and remaining calm. I'm impressed everyday at how much my son walks in my shoes. My father taught me; raise a good compassionate child and the man will come, so will a great father.

You my friend have set a great example for your children, as a rescuer. Nothing more honorable then that, period.

I finally got some 285s.. Mickey Thompson mtz's.. Also ordered a UltraGauge.

I likes them new shoes..... MT's eh? i dont know if i ever asked you before are they noisey? like duratracs? i'm starting to have second thoughts..

they might be too aggressive for my use... i dont see much mud. but they aure are nice and look great!

MY TURN!!!

I had my 3" Toytec lift and UCA's installed today! Those Bums@ bushwacker did not pack the right parts for my extenda flares you can see the result.... hope i can live with this until monday.

wheels and new rubber HOPEFULLY before next weekend.... this way i can drive up to Boston in somewhat style!
I am thinking about 33's think it will look good or maybe go a Tad smaller? i think i'll be using a 17' rim.

Compression test

I did a compression test on all cylinders to find out if it's still worth putting a set of rebuilt heads on this rig.my findings were not good 5 out of 6 were 155 psi and below min specs. were 145 psi. at 243k miles i think it's time to drop in a replacement engine.
