yeah i have seen that truck a few times....im not a big fan of that setup...
its a super sick truck but i think i can do better...there is even a guy local that has setup a coilover setup that is pretty stout. been thinking about that as well...
im acutally finishing up a project now and should be getting into it a bit more in the upcoming month...time has been tight to work on the runner...just trying to get it more comfortable...the road noise is killing me...and yeah...
were you at huckfest watching me jump it or just the pictures i posted?

Just saw the pics. Without going into the cab, your options seem to be limited, but I'm sure you already knew that. I'd like to see something cool like coilovers in the rear or hell even hoops going into the cab with those bypasses. Your truck isn't a grocery-getter, so I'd like to see you get some decent travel numbers out if that thing. My bank account says I gotta live vicariously through you :bigok: Prerunners have always been my interest offroading, but I also live in SD which has always been a hub for desert trucks & biggies. 4runners pose a challenge with those rear springs and links and junk, so I'm curious to see how far you take it!

Got news that my CBI Hybrid Rear Bumper had come into the freight pickup location! :guitar3:
Going to pick it up tmrw afternoon. Hopefully on in the next two weeks. The bumper going on should kick start a few projects I've had laying around for too long: 231mm tundra brakes and ss lines, spidertraxx, bigger tires, gunmetal wheels, bigger odyssey batter, and a couple other things. Hopefully tmrw I'll have a guy who is willing to help me wire my lightforce lights, winch, auxiliary fuse box, and longer starter cables/battery terminals. Pretty pumped since I've been gathering up parts for too long and not getting around to installing them. Had to rant a little bit to some people who cared lol.
On a side note I need to start a build thread.... Build thread coming soon
I have something a little different done to my ARB, I got it line-x'd to prevent rust! I think I'm the first so I'll see what you guys think!

Bought some AO sliders from Champ1415...thanks again.
And finally pulled the trigger on wheels and tires. Tried going with BFG Rugged Terrains, but they had a 3-4 month backorder. So I went with the same wheels, but Falken Rocky Mountains instead in a 285 75 16 D load. My dad has the same on his Jeep and loves them. I am getting the Level 8 Strike 6s in machined finish. I know they fit the 231 upgrade, so all's good there. Plus Discount Tire Direct threw me a hell of a deal for the inconvenience. I got my wheels and tires, plus tires for my wife's Escape for $1680. That includes chrome lugs, certificate for replacement, and new stems all around. Wallet took a hit, but I'm pretty pleased with the results.

Today I paid one of my tech's $50 to put in a rear U-joint. It was so siezed that the caps needed to be air chiseled out in pieces. I know it fixed the squeak, but I hope it took care of my highway speed vibration.

considered dropping a match in the gas tank!! pretty upset with my runner today...well for the past 4 days!!! u would think after replacing everything i have over the past few weeks she would like me a lil better...but after replacing the UBJs this weekend my brakes decided to take a SH*T on me!! :happens::crybaby:

Installed some FJ wheels with 265 BFGs
That could seriously mess up your knee if you hit something though. Is there a way to design the lower "rest" to break off if it gets hit? I'm thinking the whole unit might just pull off the dash, but something to consider.
I have to say it must have been quite the job for the toyota designers to not only create an unstable cupholder, but to do that and have it block both the radio and HVAC controls while being sure it was directly on the path your hand takes from the shifter to the wheel!

Did a brake fluid flush after 2.5 years and 38K. I also did a clutch fluid flush for the first time since the truck was built and with almost 150k I figured she was due. Brake fluid was nasty in the reservoir but a very light honey in the lines. After the first wheel, it was hard to see any change in the fluid color, so I just pushed through about 2/3 of the reservoir on each back wheel and half for the fronts. I think it might be a good idea to do the turkey baster thing on the reservoir when it gets dark in between doing real flushes every two or three years. I use a home-built pressure bleeder hooked up to my compressor.
The hard part on the clutch fluid was finding the bleed nipple. It's on the slave cylinder which sits at the 9 o'clock position on the bell housing when looking forward from under the driver's position.

I clean mine up really good today. I got all the mud out if the carpet lol. I took my starter off to replace the contacts the local repair place that rebuilds them did not have the right one so I cleaned the old ones up and reinstalled the starter so we will see how long she will last till I take it off again. Tomorrow I am putting on my adjustable panhard bar.
