What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I really like those covers... I can really tell, but are they cloth? or are they that stretchy like light neoprene material.... they look great..

It's the spacer mesh material. I was looking for something that breathes and won't make me sweat. I bought these at Costco for $107 shipped and they fit perfectly.

I am going to pick up another bulb tomorrow and see if it works. It does look like there was a short or something. I haven't seen a bulb warp like that from just blowing. There had to be some serious heat coming from somewhere.

I didn't do anything but replace mine with the 16W bulb and it's been fine. Granted it's only been a few months, but if there was a short somewhere it would have blown by now.

Do you do a lot of stop-and-go driving? That's the best I can come up with for a brake light to overheat.

Thanks for the tip. The site has a lot of choices for diffrent Runner configs... I might even get the rear seats done too.

I'll have to wander in there...My rears dont get much traffic as amatter of fact the only traffic my truck sees is me.. My seats are in pretty good shape to begin with this can only help.

I put weather tech mats in the truck on the way home from driving it from the dealer so my carpets are in great shape too..

I thought the hilux snorkels went on the left side? Where did you get this one?

I thought about trying a 60 series landcruiser as the cheap ones on ebay can be had for about 150.

Hey sorry I didnt see this sooner, so thanks for the PM's......for all the others, the Hilux diesel snorkels go on the left side so make sure when you order one its for the Petrol engine for the 167 Series

Do you do a lot of stop-and-go driving? That's the best I can come up with for a brake light to overheat.

I replaced mine today with the 16w bulb and everything worked fine. I do a decent amount of stop and go driving. I live in a city. The warped bulb said it was 18w on it. Is there any way that bulb could have lasted 12 years and 22x,000 miles? All the replacement bulbs I have seen are 16w.

well i tried a mod that i have yet to see anyone do and failed... maybe thats why no one has done it yet... anyhow i attempted to replace my master window controller with one that had both the driver and passenger "AUTO" window controll. i got a full set off of ebay from a 2000 limited, so i have spent the past two days sanding and priming and scuffing and repriming and then painting black (to match the rest of my interior trim) the fake wood grain of the trim panel from the limited set i got.... long story short i got it all done and everything looked brand new (cleaned all the gunk off from 12+ years of grimy oily fingers ect on all the switches) only to find out that my 97 sr5 and the 00 limited have different wiring controls and they are not interchangeable. -i got both drivers and all passenger doors, but only did the repaint on the driver and front passenger door... im so bumbed. i really want the auto down for both driver and passenger. oh well their went $65 ill never see again :sadwave:

Had a semi-beat up 4 runner traded in at work and got the ok to take a few things before it was sent to auction. I'm still hoping to see one with a supercharger.
