POS autozone starter failed last night, lasted me 8 months. Don't buy one.
Replaced with a new one, not from autozone lol.

Bought an Aisin clutch slave cylinder from Rockauto 5 months ago and it failed today.

Sorry no pics. I used my SR5 to flip a car back on all 4s on the highway. Good thing I drive a tow truck for a living and know what I'm doing. Can't wait to get my new bumper. I wanted to spin it straight so it could get hooked by the wrecker, but for now all I have is my stock one. :moping: Long story. Google Illinois Minutemen and you'll get the idea.

Wasn't today but over the weekend, worked on my drivers side window. I don't know about the rest of you but my DS window was really starting to get noisy and was noticeably slower and louder than the other windows. With the window rolled all the way up I used a letter opener to pull back the black trim as I went along spraying some liquid wrench down into the door cavity where the window sits on the track.

A few points to pass along. There are holes at the bottom of your door, what you spray in there is going to leak out the bottom. Keep your door open and let it drip on the ground (in my case, my driveway, doh). Its going to leak for a while so be prepared to leave your doors open for a while if you plan on doing this. I sprayed both sides of the window (interior and exterior). I think you really only need to do the interior, the exterior just foamed up and made a mess. I used the straw on the spray nozzle. Might have actually worked better without it as it would disperse more, and maybe not carry so much to the bottom of the door and leak all over the place. You're going to have to clean your windows after you work them up and down 1/2 a dozen times or so to work it into and along the track, so be prepared to do so. Unless you get something that doesn't smell as bad as liquid wrench, your trucks going to stink a bit. Do it when its warm and you can drive around with the windows down for a while (I think not using the straw will help with this also, again less liquid, more dispersement).

Overall though it worked great. My DS window is by far the fastest quietest window in my truck at the moment. I can start it the same time as the passenger (up or down) and its almost twice as fast as the passenger side. If I don't get a chance to do the others before it gets cold again i'll just have to wait for springtime to do it, so I can cruise around with the windows down, but it makes a huge difference, if you're having the same issues with noisy/sluggish windows, I'd think about trying it.

Why not just take the panel off and spray the right parts instead of the entire inside of the door...?

Finally got my new Toyo Open Country A/T II tires installed this afternoon. I like em! Center caps were off because I freshened them up with some new paint. I'll take some better pictures soon, but a quick driveway shot is it for now.

(All the old tires were still in the back of the truck....I definitely need some 906's.....)

I'm glad you posted this because I was just thinking today how noisy and annoying my DS window is. Thanks for the post.

No problem, it really does help alot. And despite what COB says , you're just trying to lube the track, and the easiest way to get to the track (the entire track at one time) is with the window in the full up position, and from the top of the door panel. If you want you can pull the black trim piece, but I figured it just as easy to slide it out of the way with something thin/plyable (a paint stick would work well too) as I went along. Even with the panel off, if you try and "spot shoot" the track with "lube and a straw", you're going to end up with the drips regardless, so I still think it might be best to do w/o the straw attached. Any overspray inside the door cavity should just act as a moisture repellant, so no harm no foul.

I went to Hard Notched Customs this morning to check out the roof rack they're making for me. They mocked up the mounting system and I dropped off my 9" IPF's so then can attach the light mounts and put a hoop to protect the lights against low limbs and branches.

Long time no post. Was driving to school this morning and got a misfire on cylinder 6. Got home and pulled the plug out and noticed some corrosion around the top. Went to autozone and got a replacement but still get the missfire. Think its time for new wires? I think they are still the factory wires after 182,000 miles. Plugs are 2-3 years old, except the brand new one.

Anyone know what replacement wires I should get?

Finished installing my new JADE GREEN carpet and matching carpet pads. The color is a great match for the IJM truck. I hated the old beige carpet, even when it was new. It's a fair amount of work, but it makes the interior of the truck look 10 years younger. The old one had suffered from coffee spills, soda spills, tractor grease, a little paint, and even muriatic acid in the back. It was time.
