got all the hard parts done!
Removed Running Boards
Did my first mid today...removed the running boards. Pretty simple for rusted nuts and bolts. It really cleans up the look. Even gives the impression of a small lift. Now the back of my calves won't rub and get dirty on them anymore getting out.
And I installed the car seat. Sorry, no pics for this one.

Today to keep it all legal and stuff...put on my new registration stickers...good for another 2 years now...
Vacuumed it out front to back, wiped down the dash, clusters, center console etc.
AND my first real "mod".... Deckplate, installed without a hitch, quick, simple and looked damn good when I was done.
after looking at dozens of pictures, thinking the running boards are coming off, although my wife doesn't seem thrilled about it

funny you should say this... so apparently i have been driving around on expired tags for the last 5+months... a big thank you to all the deputies, detectives and troopers who have failed to give me a heads up on this. and the officer who pulled me over for speeding in aug. a real sincere thank you to my buddy Jordan who pointed it out to me yesterday on the snow run. i guess ill be fixing this tomorrow before my trip to cali on tues.
and today i washed and waxed my runner, gonna give it an oil change tomorrow and vacuum it out before i load it all up.

Got some headlight replacement bulbs at crappy tire today. I heard a lot about the sylvania silverstars but went with the GE Nighthawk Platinums. I compared the beams on my garage door and there wasn't a huge difference. When I pulled out of the garage it was definitely much brighter and very noticeable. I almost hit a coyote the other day and after realizing how crappy my headlights were I had a feeling it was time to change it up.
Also had to use 4wd today!
Freezing rain for a couple hours, came back from hockey to reverse into my driveway and tires were just spinning. Pushed the magic botton and no more spinning

Bought a propane torch to defrost my windshield, because none of the electronic climate control stuff works, and it went down to -30 degrees C last night...

Yikes! Sounds a bit extreme. I was jst at Costco yesterday and saw a windshield cover that anchors to the side mirrors and keep frost from forming. It was $15 which was fair I thought.
