haha all those good discussions when a CAI threads pop. Your prob right with the oil doing better, but i'd for sure mess it up. The air has been this bad for 3 weeks or more now so, i'm sure shops are staying busy!

The Powercore filter i have is pretty amazing. It doesn't require any cleaning for 100k miles, but I still usually clean it every so often. Today I hit it on the table and all kinds of gunk came out. I think its been over a year since i've done it. so it's prob about do.

MY TB is still spotless and the inside of the filter looks almost new!

i don't know man it's so nasty. The other day i guess they almost issued a state of emergency because of the air quality. On top of all the inversion, it's been below freezing the whole time. The last couple days it's warmed up enough to give some acid rain but then it just freezes up. its craziness!

The pollution gets trapped by the mountains and a high pressure weather system, the phenomenon is called an inversion. It happens fairly regularly each winter and when it does we have the worst air quality in the country.

Looked at how dirty it was, decided I should wash it, but didn't because of all slush and crap from the snow we had last night! Enjoyed my new Silverstars though, much brighter than stock, I highly recommend them as an upgrade without going full blown HID retrofit conversion.

I still need to get some new tires. I'm almost set on some duratracs 267 75 16's but the guy at Discount Tire told me they wear too fast and don't last long so now I'm kinda second thinking the tire situation.

I'm kind of confused on the ride. It almost feels like the rear is floating on ice but that may be my sub-consciousness making me think i'm floating with the higher road height

Rear: LC coils in the back. we counted 8 rings i think? The colors were green pink and white from the bottom up (again i think)
