HA! Good call!! I will stand behind you on that one. My skid plates ripped off in snow which means it could come apart anywhere lol. Dude, Rubicon whenever you want. My buddy Andrew has a trailer and will tow my truck with his first gen... the one I texted you pics of. You let me know when you wanna go! Preferably when the snow is melted cuz I'm sick of it as you already know. I think tomorrow we are bending and welding a stinger on his front bumper too and will fab the bbq to work around it. Rubicon camping trip!! Call me and let me know when your truck is geared, locked, and ready for another trip. My BS hopefully won't hold me back. And if so, I'll just ride shotgun in the first gen haha

Got these longer bilstiens (14'' vs 12'') installed had to make another mount for the travel copyd Ripcords build haha thanks

stock mount with the 14'' bilstien on level ground only 3'' shaft showing no pics of shocks on new mount on level ground but it has about 6'' shaft showing

new mount with tire stuffed need to exstend bumb stop

yea thanks Rob i had these shocks for a while now i got them thinkin these were the same size as the exstended ones toytec sells tat is recomended with the super flex coils that i originally wanted but the guy i was ordering with over the fone told me ill be fine with the regular ones but come to find out affter installin it imo was a little short with the 8 wraps n even shoter with the 851s n the 14" after install was a little long lol but i think ima try to head to Prairie city to test it out on the 10th if u can try to come row with us

Yeah it kinda looks like those 14" bilsteins need some more travel too. It actually looks pretty much close to maxxed out from the pics. I'll shoot you a text about the tenth and let you know if I'll be able to make it.

After just a few bumps off of that shock you will rip a hole in the frame. It's awesome you fit such a long shock in there but I would be worried about your upper Mount. Not trying to be a hater, I just don't want to see a catastrophic failure. Maybe extend your bump stops just a bit more.

im not to worried because i no some guys that did the same thing on there crawlers but just not on the outsidde of the frame but underneath th bed n its been holding up for years n yea im working on the bump stops plus if anything to go wrong i have my stock mount to go back to with the shorter shocks

Bumping off your shocks is a quick way to blow them out. Hopefully the Mount holds, you've got an awesome build, keep it up Kong!

did you stud weld it to one side or did you run a bolt through the frame rail?

Ok I was just wondering I have seen it done both ways. should hold up fine probably wouldn't have hurt to put a backer plater there. just better support. but liking the mod. loods good.

I temporary mounted my high lift jack.

It may not look it but its held in place pretty well.

I'm hoping to get roll bar soon to mount it on.
