I had it aligned at The Truck Shop in Miramar San Diego

$62 but normally I think it is $70; can't say for sure.

well I was going to check my trans fuild level .....
Washed all the dirt from the trail run last weekend off the 4runner. Drove to the hardware store to get some misc bolts for some work on the miata, figured I'd check the trans fluid level once it was warmed up. Pull out the dip stick, go to re-insert it.....:AK47: oh that's right the tube wqas designed by the devil. F&*k me, after 10 minutes of trying to get it back in gave up. Move on to other stuff. Did the front brakes on my Honda Odessey, work on the a motorcycle and finished the miata. Run out of things to do, ok time for the tranny dipstick. 15 minutes later doing every combination I can, no go. I want to cave in someone's skull. WTF, what am I doing wrong. there has got to be a better way.....???????
oh yeah and I still don't know what the level of fluid is in the trans? Insert "face palm" emoticon here. MFer!

I HATE the dipstick tube! I just close my eyes, I do my best work in the dark. :eyebrows:

Someone kept leaving those notes on my Ford Probe GT when it was sitting getting dirty. Maybe it's the dirt that attracts them, like they're going to get a good deal on a neglected car that no one cares for

They must have thought you had a Supercharger under the hood.
I'd take notes any day over the folks who approach me at the gas station, grocery store, ete or even try to flag me down on the turnpike.

My only advice is to hold the stick by the ribbon itself (not the handle), and guide it in with both hands. I put the curved end pointing toward the firewall, but then when I meet significant resistance, I turn the stick about 90 degrees one way or the other (experiment), and it will slide in the rest of the way. The tube is split in half, and I think the stick gets caught up at the junction. Or maybe it gets caught up at the bend in the tube by the pan.

Well, over the weekend, I got some parts cleaned up and found that I really need to get the heads surfaced. Picked up head gasket set, water pump, and timing belt. Now to spend a few more bucks getting the heads done, clean up the block and it should be ready to go back together

Not something I did per se, but some friendly fella parked his Silver 2000 SR5 4Runner with blue interior, 6 spoke SR5 wheels, bug guard and door visors right next to my Silver 2000 SR5 4R with blue interior, 6 spoke SR5 wheels, bug guard and door visors today at the local mexican joint. We talked for a quick second and both went on to the restaurant... i happened to have a window seat and watched them walk to my truck when they left, only to laugh their butts off realizing it wasn't their truck.
My dumb arse was too hungry to think about taking a photo. I wish I would have. it was like deja vu!
I filled up her tank and told her I loved her. It was a good day.
I still need to take pictures of her all cleaned up and pimped out with her new TRD and Buckeyes decals!
