What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I installed stoptech SS brake lines. What a difference it has made. I really didn't think there would be, but I am impressed. The pedal is alot firmer.

lower ball joints and outer tie rods replaced. Then, took it up to the shop for
4 Terra Grapplers and an alignment. Much more stable now, and I actually gained exactly 1" lift.
Makes me wonder, should I have replaced the upper ball joints too at this time?
They aren't leaking or appear damaged in any way.
But neither did the lowers and there was excessive play in them when I had them on the bench comparing the new ones.

the question was , should I have replaced hem though if theres no visible signs
damage. No leaks and no tears. Follow up question is would I need an alignment
after the UBJ was replaced.

If the boots aren't torn and leaking, you probably don't need to change them. Most people advise to get an alignment any time you change any of the suspension components.

Is there a reason you went with stop tech over the other brands available?

Where did you order from?

I bought them off of ebay. Well I wanted a name brand because I have done the cheap route and regretted it. I knew stoptech was reputable brand. I also wanted stock length because for what I have they are perfect. I did look at the ones toytec sells, but read they would be super long. I didn't really research much after I had found the stoptech lines.

replaced the drivers side rear bumper corner. it was pushed it pretty bad but thankfully didn't mess with any of the mount points so the new one (used bought on here) fit as it should

Started the build of my rear bumper.
lot more work to do.

At 160k, completed my clutch replacement, using Aisin parts off Amazon. Also did flywheel, rear main seal, slave cylinder, starter contacts, and shifter seats and bushing. I did it in my garage on jackstands with a HarborFreight tranny jack. What a pain in the tail this was. Five times worse than the timing belt/waterpump job. But I got her done. My hands look like I was wearing barbed wire gloves.

Next time I'll find somewhere with a lift.

I installed a Diehard Platinum group 35 battery last night. Interestingly enough, the new part number is rated at 850CCA and 130 reserve time.

Durk,

Any pics? Nice job.

Yep, that's the guy.

I have the same one. Been sitting up in storage for months until I get my roof rack built. My modification to a Rola rack ended in a pile of scrap metal so I'm going with another cheaper option. Going to build it from electrical conduit super struts. Should make adding attachments and such as easy as running a bolt through.
