I thought they were normally lit already. If I'm wrong, my bad. Any info on your diy? Me likey.

And I brought my pups out for a short trail ride in the middle of summer.

No the only one that is lit is the drivers auto one. Maybe the newer ones that have auto on the front passenger side too have that lit but I don't know. But the rear ones for sure don't as well as the master switch. But I have some info in my build thread.

hi my name is Adam Paulino I have a 1998 toyota 4 runner SR5 i bought new M/t federal tires couragia pretty cool but im having a problem with clearing rocks or going through some hills my size of tires i have are 31/75/15 im debating whether to get spacers for a lift pro comp to be exact or a body lift i will take any feedback from expierence i want to go for 2.5" lift to 3"inch lift what would you guys recommend im new to this sport but i finally found a hobby that i can find peace so any help will help thank you for youre time

I replaced my LBJ and discovered a differential leak on the CV I replaced last week. ordering new seals for next weekends project. also replaced my front marker bulbs, they were burned out.

Headed over to Jack Junkies in Plano, TX and installed OME 891s that I got from the classifieds here with brand new OME 60028s. I rented a lift bay and some air tools, pry bars, etc and went to work. Rides much better than my previous spacer lift.

how was your experience over there at Jack Junkies in Plano?

were they helpful? did they have all the tools you needed? how many hours did you rent, i.e. how long did it take you?

Installed 12" Infinity Sub and Rockford Fosgate Amp.

I wanted something not too big so I could still have the dog back there. So I got a thin box on amazon. Then I just screwed the amp directly into the back of the back seats. Seamed to tighten up and hold, so there must be some wood/plastic/metal in there.





The blue tarp is just stuffed there for storage.

Did my CV axle yesterday, Worked on it for three days. Last day took me about 45 mins to do. 4 bolt on the bottom of the hub and off she came, pulled the axle with the torn boot and replace it with a new axle. Still have to do the other side, will have pix next time. I read so many post on how to replace a CV axle and every one was different. some said to take off the nut on the pitman other said to take off the idier arm. Unscrew the ABS line. That's all a waist of time. Just remove the blots on the bottom of the hub and your go to go. Hope this helps another 01 T4R

Jack Junkies is top notch. Jeff is the ASE tech that's usually on duty and he was very helpful when I needed an extra hand. It took me a few hours which was longer than expected because I didn't have my brother (a Toyota tech) helping me. The base rate for the lift bay is $23/hr and the pro level tool rental is another $20/hr and comes with some air tools, pry bars, large wrenches, ratchets, breaker bar, etc. Well worth the money for the few large jobs that need to be done and you get a spotless shop to work in.

I'll be up there again this week probably when I go to work on my front lift, LBJs and tie rods.

Found a TRD trans cooler new in box on craigslist for $35. I had to drive for almost 2 hours to get it. Still worth it.

How much do you think these would run from the stealership? I would love to get one for my '01

I tightened my power steering belt today. The belt was slipping on the pulley so my power steering would randomly cut out. Now all is well.

I changed all my belts also. Toyota put the PS tentioner in the worst location. I was inching it with a gearwrench.

So what was the purpose of removing the front sway bar? I did it to mine and HATED IT!! The rear was great but HATED the front.

Last week I replaced the IAC and cleaned the throttle body. Yesterday was the project i was scared of. Replacing my severely leaking valve cover gaskets. It took about 3 hours and several beers and it looks brand new now. I ordered an Airaid intake tube to go with my DeckPlate mod.

Got the copilot out for some wind. Sorry for the size of the picture
