What he said. I think they discontinued them but burtman industries made a replica but I don't know if he's still doing business.

It was a brake day. I got the tundra calipers stripped down, cleaned up, and the first couple of coats of paint on. Then I tackled the seized bell crank which I got working.....and broke almost at the same time. Ah well. They can't all be winners.

Rounded out the new stereo with an under-seat sub, a Sound Ordnance B-8PTD.
Awful camera and lighting, but shows how nicely it fits under the seat.
I'm still tuning it and breaking it in slowly, but I'm loving it so far. Surprisingly punchy, works great with rock, and the volume is good enough for me.
And it goes without saying that being right under the seat is optimal for bass-to-ass transmission.

I've had that sub for the last year, it's a great piece, you'll be happy with it. I have it in the same spot as well...it's about 1/4" too tall for the spot, so your seat will scrape the speaker grate...no big deal. I like that it comes with a remote, you can adjust easily depending on the music you are listening to. I mounted the remote in my center console...took the case off, drilled a hole in the blank, then mounted.

I'm almost certain I've seen that setup of yours, because I'd been planning on doing exactly the same if I want to expose that control after using the sub for a while. Right now, I just left it off.
(That and I accidentally dissolved my console switch blanks while doing some paint prep. Pro-tip: they don't care much for acetone. At least they're cheap to replace.)
And I've actually got some clearance with mine--No contact when I move. I wonder if something is different about our seats?

I have mine set 180* from yours, maybe that's why it scrapes....only the grate does and only in one spot. But ya, having it under your seat definitely gives you the most bass in the vehicle.

if you were to paint the chrome on the rear bumper, i personally think it would look a lot better. but never the less, it looks nice!

yeah, it was a 2 month trip, and i didn't feel safe leaving it there in the open, so i did all the maintenance it needed and sold it to some kid for his first bike. he was stoked i made money so it was a good decision.

Heh, a low frequency hum to the seat might do exactly that.Hmm would I be able to rig up tow of these me thinks? I don't want a god awful amount of bass. I had an 8 in my old sport trac and loved it. RIP. wanna get two of these and impress more lady friends
I don't see why you couldn't use a Y-splitter and hook up two. Mind you, it won't fit under the passenger seat if you've got the rear heater, and you're getting into bass/price territory that would be better served by a proper box.
I'd say just let her drive sometimes.
