Took for a drive for tires and beer

drove for a couple hours to buy some beloved 3 spoke split OEM 4runner/tacoma 16" rims ( thanks [MENTION=102781]BasinRunner[/MENTION] ). these came stock on my 99', but my 02' has these ugly rims. i long for some 5 stars though..... :-(
:lookout: had the tires and weights removed, they are getting painted black

stopped by Lagunitas for a beer too!

I managed to hit a semi truck I hit a spot of black ice and the 4runner took care of the rest.

Not all that much damage I was very pleased.

These have performed the best for me.

Yeah I put my halogens back in and messed with them a little, suddenly, they are much brighter (likely due to having those POS's for a day.
I'll definitely check these out when I need new bulbs though. Thanks!

That wire would be for the antenna in the glass. But looking at your picture I don't see the antenna lines in your glass, do you know if that glass was replaced at anytime?

Thanks, that makes sense. I'm the third owner so it may have been replaced. Is window antenna separate from normal antenna upfront?

figured out how to squeeze 6.5 speakers in the rear doors with only trimming the door panel a bit to fit back over the speaker (no metal cutting). beauty is my windows still roll down

I used speaker adapters from PVC Speaker Adapters - CNC Machined - In Stock or Custom Made, x2 for each door. They're made for 5.25, but my old pioneers 6.5's actually had 5.25 mounting holes already drilled. You might see in the pics that the speakers don't seat flush with the adapters but seem to hold well.

This will be the 3rd rig I've put that set of speakers in.

installed some shitty LED's in the headlights. Took them out immediately.

Anybody know of some good headlights, not HID?
I couldn't see anything.

HID retrofit (custom projector or PnP projector (MH1 from TRS)) > 100w napa bulbs (have to upgrade wiring/relay) > phillips xtreme vision (PnP) > stock

thats about how everything stacks up. I had all for of the above on my 05 tacoma. There is no way around it, HID retrofit is the best option. theretrofitsource.com has all you need.
