Changed some of the dome lights out with 4w/ft LED lights and ran some of them to the footwells and put them on their own switch. Replaced the cargo area lights too. Thing is nice and bright now. Also put in a 2ch amp, 12" Fosgate sub and some separates in the front doors. Sounds so nice with the AppRadio 3 now.
Finished masking off my wheels for paint. At 45min/wheel I am glad to be done! I know...I am a glutton for punishment. I have already stripped the clear coat off of the machined surfaces and have wet sanded the areas down with 800 grit. After I get done painting the center caps and the inside of the spokes with Dupli-Color silver wheel paint I will final polish the raw aluminum with White Diamond Polish (great stuff, I swear by it). I know I will have to polish occasionally to keep them looking good but they are going to look way better than the flaky clear coat and oxidation infested wheels I had before.
I also machined some antenna bezel removal tools out of some nuts. I plan to do the Tacoma whip mod to replace my dead power antenna. I wanted a tool that I can take to the salvage yard to pull the antenna base off of the donor Tacoma without scarring up the bezel with a pliers.

Swapped wheels and tires with my Tacoma to try and get the 4Runner wheels spaced out some more, so it doesn't look like they're sucked in so far. I'm thinking I'm gonna have to run spacers

Actually did this last Thursday but a fun weekend roadtrip up to KC and St. Paddy's festivities kind of got in the way

Found a small muffler shop in town run by a nice guy who cut and expanded a piece of exhaust pipe for me. Smoothed out the rough edges, threw on a couple coats of high temp paint and was good to go...
...except the OD was a little closer to 2.85" than 2.75" and took a little more elbow grease to install than I anticipated. No biggie, just turned a 20 min job into an hour but you live and learn. But to anyone thinking of doing this, I really recommend keeping it under 2.75. The worst was getting the hose clamps at each end back on. I literally didn't have .5 mm to spare:doh:
Got a Y fitting and some new hose from AAP (didn't make a T oddly) and took it for a spin. So far I am loving it! Sounds great and does get up to speed easier and smoother.
While I was out I picked up a couple eye bolts to give my cargo net something to hold. Another long overdue tweak!

About 1000 miles ago I switched to synthetic motor oil. Today I noticed that I have an oil seep (very slow) coming down the back side of my engine. I'm hoping it's the valve covers as that is on my to do list. I'm not looking forward to a rear main. I expected finding some leaks. Not bad for almost 200k.

It wasnt too bad with a pressure washer. Trust me I did not mean for it to be that bad.. that was the outcome of my brilliant idea of taking a short cut to a lake I was wanting to fish. Took me about 20 minutes to get out of the pea soup I sank in. :lookout:

Bled brakes two nights ago in an effort to get air out of my abs actuator. I heard that using the abs a few times gets the air out of the actuator. So a few panic stops on wet roads before bleeding seemed to do the trick. I had to take my right rear drum off to get enough movement in the shoes to draw fluid from that bleeder screw. We'll see how long the stiffer pedal lasts hah!

That's the plan. Already have the pins, just gotta drill the holes.
