I've adjusted it since the original picture that you're referring to. It wasn't as close as it looked, but now it has even more clearance. But, I'll probably take the base off any way because that rattle on a cobblestone trail would get old quick.

For me the electrical would be the bulk of the 5 speed stuff. Good luck with the ecu's and such. I know you said the ecu's didn't match but did you find one from the right year 5 speed?

Started the install of my SS 1.3!... Did the rear today... Unfortunately the front struts are on national back order :/

Got an ECU from a 97 5 speed, my 4Runner is a 97. The ECU's can never swap over, the manual uses a 2 row plug while the automatic uses a 3 row plug.

Replaced my shifter assembly, fixed the "I can't get my key out of the ignition" problem, and found out what this little clear plastic piece in front of the P on the shifter assembly does.

New replacement windshield

Well it all started with getting a crack in the windshield by driving around Hitting Michigan pot holes, they are everywhere!. So the guy called me into the back to show me the rust. All along the top edge of the windshield opening after removing it.
There is a body shop next to the auto glass . So that guy came over after a phone call. To fix the rust, paint it and return it to the auto glass in the morning.
So from a pot hole to a cracked windshield, to a rust /paint repair at the roof!
Lucky for me the glass shop had a loner car.
That's what I did today!

I'm at a point about not wanting to put much money in a vehicle with 162 k on the clock, and worth what? between 4 to 5 K. That's not much money in the auto game.Even though everyone says what great shape the 4 Runner Ltd. is in. When do you fish or cut bait?

I did something ridiculously stupid. I took my wife's T4R to an automatic car wash after a trip to the mountains. (I'm not used to having a motorized antenna).

Listening to the radio and SNAP! Off to eBay to order a new antenna because even online dealers want $45 for a replacement.

TRD TB gasket, clean throttle body and mass air. Started to change the fuel filter, outlet line is going to have to be replaced.
