Installed a factory roof rack on the 99.

Just an FYI in case you want it to match. I was attempting to sell 3rd gen grab handles for just that purpose when someone informed me that you can get a brand new handle for around $5 at the dealer. Never would have thought they would be priced that low from the dealer.

I kinda like the subtle change/contrast... And my handles are free, thank you second gen 4unner project. But yeah $5 is a pretty good price especially for new.

A shit ton of Goo Gone, nail polish remover and swearing lol really though it was way harder than what I anticipated. Took about an hour to get two emblems off. I used one of those batter scrapers for baking, its small and thick plastic, kept spraying and scraping until all the residue was finally gone. The nail polish remover helped in between.

Managed to sell it for 200 bucks less than what I paid for it 2 years ago. I did put a decent amount of work in it, but it's amazing how well these things hold value.

Congrats! Post some pics of your new ride. If I were to get rid of mine, I'd take a hard look at a 14.

I look forward to using it! Lol. The ratcheting is there, but not terrible. There is a break in period, so I gotta play nice for now hopefully the noise lessens as it goes

advanced discount pads and rotors, total came to 102$ with premium pads and 2 rotors and a 30$ mail in rebate. hopefully they last til i can tear the frontend apart to replace the baljoints...Ii also forgot to wipe the anti rust oil off the drivers side rotor, bedding those suckers in i thought it was gonna catch on fire hahah, pedal is still soft so im gonna drive it for a couple of days til my friend has time to help me bleed/ flush the fluid with his bleeder

Installed my new 231's and tacoma wheels.
Changed the front diff fluid too. The rear bolts were too rusty to mess with today.

Got under the vehicle and discovered part of my helter skelter steering problem. It looks like an inner tie rod end is in order as well as a new steering rack bushing kit. While I was at it, I ordered my 5100's to match the rear ones since I will be getting another alignment done anyway.

Output shaft seal replaced, new (to me) steering rack swapped in, and Icon UCA's installed.. Only a couple more things left on the list before Jambo! One week left!
