What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

yesterday I put my LC 9 wraps w/LC shocks on, gave it just the right amount of rear lift to compensate the weight of the bumper.

I also cleaned my interior fan unit, after the Lonestar Jamboree and all 186k miles of the truck, it looks like its never been cleaned




I also took out my HIDs and put back the stock lights...gonna do the retrofit soon

Today I took the tailgate apart cleaned all the rust out of the inside took the window motor out removed the nasty rusty screws out that broke off the bottom of the window replaced it with stainless washers, screws and locker nuts and the window opens and closes again.

could you point me to the position of the filter. I will start taking things apart and next thing you know ive got the rear window out of the vehicle!!

Okay, Im pretty bad about pics! Today was a very important day for my 4 runner. I got the struts replaced on my wifes camry... What does that mean? Tomorrow I start on the 4 Runner! I also ordered a new set of Corbeau seats today. Im super stoked about that!!!!!!

Got the rear axle seal replaced today. Turns out the bearings are bad... dang.

My Toy

I spent the last week rebuilding my rear gate: new latch, new handle, new parts in the washer arm, new licence plate bolts and new shroud, painted the door, looks newer!!
I also manufactured a roof rack for the rear end to accommodate my tandem Necky kayak.

And flipped from CBI to Savage and back for a rear bumper w/tire carrier. How does anyone manage to make this decision?

You can run accessories off of one battery and not have to worry about killing your starting battery. I have a National Luna split charging system in my FJ.

No, it was a mistake from the title/notary clerk when I bought it. I called them and they were supposed to send me new plate and refund an extra like $20. They haven't yet and it's been 6 months. I've been so busy, I keep forgetting too. Oh well, I'm moving to CO in 2 weeks and switching it all over then anyway.

What Xetabur said! Useful insurance on our trips. My ACR (Blue Sea 7622) doesn't allow the house battery to drain the start battery, and will also allow the house battery to 'jump' the start battery in case the start battery, well, won't.
Currently (ha) I don't have much running on the house battery (lights, extra horns, cb, more lights, stuff like that) but later power draining additions are in the long term forecast.

Instead of the work and expense of a second battery some people have a battery pack. It doesn't fit my wants and needs, but it works for many.

Got out on the trails for the first time since I bought it. Got to test out the Savage skids and 4x sliders. I definitely need a lift. Ran into another IJM 4Runner going the opposite direction, no idea if they're on here.
