I got an ultra gauge yesterday in the mail. I got it mounted and wires up today.

I like the UltraGuage... that is a clean look!

I took the cheaper route with an ELM327 scanner and the Torque Bluetooth app on my Note 3.

can you post any pics of the different gauges, like the ones used for diagnostics (O2 Sensor voltage, MAF rates, etc).

'97 4Runner Steering Rack thump

My '97 with 329,637 on the odometer, is a 5 speed manual that goes hunting, pulls a camper and a boat and is part time dog kennel has a thump in the steering wheel. I looked under while having the wheel turned and see the left end coming out of the rack jumps a little. After a little research it looks like I might be able to retorque the rack guide spring nut and buy myself a little time before I've got to replace the rack guide. Anybody have experience with that part of the rack?:wave:

I got out wheeling friday and today. I went up to Jackson County and explored all of the count roads, logging trails and old mines. It really was a blast and If anyone is in WI and is interested in seeing the GPS maps and way points of campsites.

Installed a new fuel pump, what a pita tough job but she starts up real fast now!! 270kms and she starts like new!!Worth it I think!! t was starting in 2 ruwwya's now it's in one ruwwya.....Know what I mean!!

Monday - gave the windshield and rear glass a good cleaning using Mothers Water Spot Remover and Stoner Invisible Glass. Really made a difference,better visibility at night and wipers don't chatter and streak.

Wednesday - noticed the water temp gauge read past the 3/4 mark driving home the night before. Relieved to find no pink milkshake and just needed to top off the radiator and overflow tank.

Saturday - oil change with Mobil 1 with an OEM Toyota V8 filter (slightly longer than the V6). Took out the cargo mat and gave it a good cleaning while the oil drained. Got fed up with the buzzing and rattling from the Q-Logic stealtbox wannabe so I relocated the subwoofer to a universal sealed box.

I also found a small leak on the radiator,guess that's my next weekend project...and to fix the sticking hood latch or cable.
