It looks like your runner is having its appendix removed.

Looks like he's installing a shock cage and has the floor cut out so he can easily work to mount to the frame, and possibly have easier access if he changes axle geometry.

I cut a hole in the floor so i could cut out the stock links and weld on the 3 link system in the rear with out having to be under the truck the whole time…it was a pain but the floor panel has been saved and will return to the rear of the truck once the upper link and shocks go in

Annual Safety Inspection and Emissions Test were done today, along with the requisite extortion paid to the State for the privilege of owning my 4Runner.

I really put on some miles this past year. 2400 miles since it's last Inspection and Emissions Test a year ago.

I thought folks there in Utah worked more hours per week than any other state in the Union. Thus, I guess the state government feels you should be able to pay more. Heck, I think the state's motto is "Industry", which doesn't bode well for slackers.ound:

For my 4Runner it is. The last three previous years I put on about 1800-1900 miles annually.

I'm not home much, and when I am, I have other vehicles that are more fun.

The 4Runner is basically my winter driver, and occasional off-roading vehicle. Although I'm not sure when the last time I went off-roading was. hwell:

Folks in Utah are generally hard working. I however haven't worked there in years.

I am however on a first name basis with several TSA Agents around the Country.

Incidentally, what is the deal at Dulles? About half the time we have to de-plane and hike to the Terminal. My impression is that the Airport is run as competently as the rest of Washington, DC.

Finally did the Satoshi grille that I've wanted to do since I bought a Tacoma back in 2005! lol It's not 100% done, but I couldn't stand driving around without a grille anymore.






Also used the 4Runner to take my "other" truck to the beach with the kiddos.

After a very long drought of doing absolutely nothing to the truck except drive it to work once in a while to keep her running and happy, I've finally done a few fun upgrades:

• Toyo Open Country AT2 265/75R16 installed, balanced, and alignment done.
• Deckplate mod in (no pics, but everyone's seen one by now)
• All Pro sliders welded, etch primed, and painted with Rustoleum Black Hammered finish. Not my best paint job, but when they get scratched up I'll end up doing them again anyway.
• Magnaflow 18" stainless exhaust can welded in. Loving the new sound!
