Dam talk about hard to get, they made of unobtainium instead of plastic. New is nearly impossible to find all my local dealers say "backordered and discontinued sorry". I found a set at a local wrecker.


I installed a ScanGauge2 on mine today. I must say i like it.

Had a mechanic change out my front stabilizer bushings (they were shot as hell, it looked like a blooming flower) and cleaned out all four brakes. Also topped off the brake master cylinder with a $1.87 bottle of DOT 3 fluid from Wally World. Found out that the low fluid level was the cause of the random brake light turning on problem.

CV boots tore and are spitting grease all over the place.. don't know when to send it in for a fix.

Got all the hard parts of my satoshi mod done (besides removing the chrome, which took all of last week. All of it. Never again.)



Pretty happy with how filling in the holes went. Hope it holds up once the paint is on.

The mounting tabs (using BigFishAllDay's excellent method) are curing overnight. Tomorrow, final sanding, clean, and painting.

I replaced my sway bar bushings and end links last night. Noticed they were bad after visual inspection and recent purchase of my 4Runner. Next on the hit list: struts, ITR, OTR, and front rotors (currently warped).

Very nice! Where did you get those drawer slides? I'm just starting to plan out a cargo box build.

I got them from hafele. We order a lot of things from them for our business so I have an account with them. They are rated to 50b when fully extended at 36". The cool thing to is that they lock when in the open position which is nice if you park at an angle.

Only downside is they are PRICEY!!!!

I'm trying to finish a few touches this weekend and I'll write up a build thread cause I'm super happy with the way it turned out.

Replaced my battery with an Exide 800CCA 27F battery from Home Depot. Old one was Autozone brand whatever 'Maxx', 600something CCA, had died many times - just a POS. So needless to say, this battery feels much better.

Upp'd the wiring to my bluesea fuse box to 4gauge from 10. Ran 10ga all the way back to rear cargo area (behind that door on passenger side) and put another small fuse block back there. Then wired up a relay to my reverse lights and breathed a sigh of relief when it worked. Installed slick waterproof connectors for front and rear lights and wire loomed the hell out of everything.

Did some more sanding on my CB mount and where it attaches by the tail light because I realized I had done a terrible job before and my dremel was fully charged. Lastly, installed some Rockford Fosgate 6.5" components up front and the results are amazing.

Think I overdid it on lighting. Ah well, SPDT switch (and some other switches) on the way from OTTARW or whatever that company is called. I'll make the rears auto / off / manual on.

Thanks man. Looking forward to a time when there are no projects to be done, at least for a little while. Better than sitting inside playing video games I suppose.

Neat! My jeep buddy has one and he loves it! I would look at 1/4" aluminum plate to Mount it. It is pretty easy to work with and is strong.

Installed my Scan Gauge and Paranoid Fabrications ash tray bracket. Bracket is nice, not to impressed with the Scan Gauge, transmission temperature was the only reason I bought it. I am thinking of going back to the Ultra Gauge.

Is anyone interested in the Scan Gauge and bracket for $130 shipped? Bracket is painted black and the transmission temperature X-Gauge code is programmed in already.

Had ordered a 50sqft roll of Fat Mat sound deadener. I should have just installed components today instead of yesterday, but I was inspired to use the stuff since I knew it was a 5 minute job to get the door panels off.

Many cuts, it's like everything inside the door is waiting to slice you open. End result is excellent though, I didn't bother making a template or doing anything more than eyeballing things. No scraps wasted, found other places to put em. No more vibrations

And put my back seats back in, had had bottoms out and back rests folded flat since the beginning of summer. Much better

Installed ScanGauge 2 a few days ago, love it. Ordered Trail Gear sliders and mount brackets last night. Today i installed Sliverstar ZXE bulbs, they are a lot whiter than the yellowish oe headlights. Bright but not as bright as HIDs but thats ok I am adding more lights here soon. I wanted brighter and more trouble free than HIDs, was worried about water and all the vibration from 4 wheeling, but we will see. These bulbs are not know to last more than a year but with a 1 year warranty i am fine with that.
