I've had these in my amazon cart for a while, but some reviews said they don't work as good in the cold? They seem to be better than any of the other brands though.

New Denso OEM spark plugs, fuel filter, changed oil and lubed the drive shafts. O e of the plugs had carbon tracks from arching out, guess that was my very slight sputter up hills under full throttle. Runs much smoother now. I may need to replace the plug wires but we shall see.
What did you do to your 3rd gen today?
I started her up this morning in near freezing temp enjoyed smooth engine warm loop then took a comfe ride able to open/close passenger side window.
Lots of work in last 5 weeks...some needed some not to fix ruff ruff warmup loop & bad gas mileage
New:
Timing belt change - OEM full kit install/Flush fluid change.
Battery - Advance Auto top line.
Cleaned throttle body.
Cleaned MAF.
Air filter - Dealer OEM Part.
Spark wires - Denso.
Spark plugs - NGK (BKR5EKB-11)
Upstream o2 Sensor - Denso < Cold weather Warmup loop fixer.
PCV & Grom - Dealer OEM Parts.
Fuel ejector cleaner - Royal Purple Max Clean Fuel System Cleaner (Gas mile fix Thanks again LittleCaesar)
Master Power Window Switch Front Driver Side - After market.
Front/Rear Differential & transfer case fluid change - Dealer Work.
Wheel Alignment - Firestone complete Auto Repair Best in my area.
Power steering flush.
Next 30 days will bring:
Oil & filter Change - Mobile 1 High mile 10w30 / filter OEM dealer part
Front seat covers - GT Leatherette Oak in Color
From there I will enjoy Spring/Summer surf OBX alot

This weekend I replaced transmission with super low mileage unit, all fluids, PS, coolant, brake fluid, front and rear diffs, Tcase fluid, adjusted rear brakes. Removed trailer hitch to refinish. Im basically going through whole truck. Fuel filter this weekend. Plugs and wires, PCV all getting done same time. Timing belt and water pump by end of month. Ive been busy on this one. LBJs coming soon also. No history of replacement but not loose.

Yeah, I heard the same.. Not sure if it will make a difference for me though. Where I live, it would be breaking records if it dropped below 50* most the year. Since the cold wouldn't change much for me, I went ahead and did it.
The only difference I see in these vs the stock ones is that they work fantastic (better than stock) when the rear window is rolled up, however, if the window is down, it struggles to get the hatch up past about the 80% mark. The weight of the window appears to be just a little too much for the StrongArm ones. I hear the Monroe ones are stronger though.
The way I figure though is that I'm usually always in the warm temps and if my window is down, I'm reaching through anyways, so no need to open the hatch. That just leaves opening the hatch when the window is up, which it handles great.

Went and picked up a dana 60 from an 06 F-250. Also realized this is probably not the forum for me. Im tired of all the "will 32s affect my mileage" threads. Someone just asked how much will a tundra brake upgrade hurt their mileage. Really?

How do you like your Grabber AT2's? I'm looking at getting some soon. Most the reviews I've read appear to be good. Always lookin for more input though.

These tires are great in the snow and dirt but they are horrible in the mud. They might as well be drag slicks in the mud, they dont clean themselves out well. On the road they have great manners and the hum is barely noticeable.

Since the weather has been getting nicer in St. Louis I've done a few things to it
-blacked out my grill in preparation for an ARB front bumper
-added by awning to the roof rack
-installed the 10" and 6" lights on the front and back of the rack

I went with the 4ft ARB awning
at the time I bought it I had a Yakima rack, which is why I got a 4ft
I still think it looks just fine on this rack, does the job!
Looks awesome. I am looking for a similar set up for my rig.

My wood chopping block finally split in half so I needed a new one. The problem it weighs about 300 pounds and I had to get it up a small flight of stairs myself to my wood splitting spot - let the winch do the work!!
Worked perfectly and I really dig the new XL wood splittin' block - the thing is solid as a boulder.

^^NAPA calipers? If so, get a coating on it ASAP as they show surface rust within days. More of an aesthetic thing but still......
Bought a Rockford sub/amp/box combo from Amazon for $180. Had a shop run wires(I'm lazy) and I hooked up everything up this morning. Pretty good bass considering what it is and how much it cost. Has separate bass control as well. Very removable too, if desired. Two plugs and it's out. I'm quite impressed considering the price.
Same shop that ran the wires for me also put in my ditch brackets and Slag Factory lights. Lights are pretty bright but I haven't done the distance test yet, only in my garage. For $60 a light I'm super happy. I don't like how the passenger side light sits directly in front of the antenna but I knew that going in so it's not a surprise. I doesn't seem to affect the beam at all but will know more tonight.
