Funny - I just bought some new zerks for the exact same thing. Did it hit your gas tank skid?

It must have, but it's been that way for god knows how long. I lubed the zerks when I first got my truck in 2012, and haven't done them since. Then looked under there a couple days and happened to notice. So it could been pretty dry for a couple years even.

One word: Density. The can says 16 FLUID ounces, which is a unit of volume, not weight. Since you weighed it out and didn't take into account the density, you added more than 8 fluid ounces to the tank. Next time use a measuring cup. :madgrin:

Electrical Schematic please!!

Been working on getting 10lbs of stuff in a 5lb cubby......

I've been considering the same location for an inverter but am seriously concerned about the lack of cooling air to keep the unit cool. Also, how is the hot air going to escape? I'm now considering the right pax side under the glove box and tapping into the AC system for cooling using a "Y" fitting with an electric shutoff valve for opening and closing.

Did you run any outlets to the front or back seats for a laptop/phone charger? Any other external 110 outlets? I would love to see your electrical schematic on this. I like what I see but am patiently working out all of the details before I begin. I'm looking at the Prosine 2.0 2000W pure sine wave inverter/charger so I'll need two batteries. Also, did you add an additional fuse block such as a Blue Sea for your lights, winch, cb, etc? That's a pretty ambitious project!

You could always just pop the cover off when you have a heavy load on it. If you're putting in a 2kW inverter that's going to be running laptops most of the time the cooling won't be much of an issue. The heat sink will be so oversized it will be ok.

I'm about to put one back there too. I may just put a small computer fan to move some air through.

I was considering that as well. Either one that goes over the CPU or an extra one like an Antec that pulls the heat out of the case. I'll be using it for more than just a laptop but not much more I'm sure. ARB fridge, compressor and other misc.

I'm currently installing a 2000 watt inverter under the driver's seat, with outlets in the center console and in the rear cargo area. Keep an eye on my build thread. I will be posting details soon.

I definitely will. I've been watching some of the things you've been doing. You're pretty damn creative. I was thing of two outlets in the dead space behind the 4WD away from our feet. (I'm building a form fitting mount for the scan gauge right on the steering column where it's easy to see and very accessible.) You can get in and out of the vehicle without tripping over any power cords. There's plenty of room under the console to run wires and fuses. The rear I'm thinking about replacing the ashtray above the rear heater control. Just hate the way it's "rolled" into the plastic.

Installed new (OEM) lower ball joints with the help of my next door neighbor. Took about 90 minutes for both of them - he knows what he is doing and has the correct tools. Even though my mechanic said the LBJs were good I thought I'd replace them anyways account they were the original and being 18 years old anything could happen.

It was worth the $$ and time both for peace of mind and for learning how to do another repair on my T4R.

And it just now turned 93,000 miles

I haven't run any remote outlets... yet. It's on the list of things to do. I probably will only put some in the back so I can have power without having the door open. I'm not to worried about cooling on the inverter, I have hardly ever run it up to its max, mostly just use it for running chargers and the pump for my air mattress. I'm more worried about cooling for the compressor. I'll probably just pop the cover open when I'm airing up tires. I'll leave it closed out on the trail, once it builds pressure it will run my locker pretty much all day.

Well, since installing my cbi bumper, things have been a little dark. I lost the use of my 30" light bar I had cut in below my bumper. So I ordered a 20" zero dark to fit in the grill bar. Came in today, so I installed it.

Ya I dig them. Taking a little while to grow on me since I'm used to running gray or black wheels typically, but I think they're clean on 3rd gens.

I used to paint all my vehicles wheels black in my ricer days... still do, though.. shit!

The Trail Editions are nice rims. I have them on my truck as well. I had the old split 3 spokes before and had to swap them for the TBU. I just worry about finding the tires I want and them not being available in 17"
