Not knocking your truck at all but I bet those rims would look a lot different with a small lift and a more aggressive set of looking tires, hence the "looking" part. Nitto Terra and BFG KO2 come to mind. But it appears you do mostly highway/city driving so the "look" is not really worth the loss in mpg. Beauty of a truck though.

Just to throw my 2 cents in... Cooper at3s are great on highway performance if you ever decide to go that route. And I agree, the '02 sport in mica red or whatever they called that color that year is the best looking 4runner ever made imo.

Cleaned my lumbar motor so it works again. Also set the switch back into the seat so it doesn't fall out anymore.

You have my attention... My lumbar has NEVER worked. What made you think to clean it? Did you have power coming from the motor before cleaning?

I will do a short little write up on what I found along with a couple of pics and post it this weekend if that will help.
No power from the motor before cleaning it. I initially thought it was the switch, but there is a connector between the switch and the motor along the back of the seat that can be pulled apart and tested for 12v with the switch depressed. I got power there so I knew it was the motor.
In reflection the motor is underpowered for its application. If I could find one from Thailand, China, Hong Kong, etc I'd tear back into it and replace it when I recover my seat in the future.

I completely agree with you, though I can't justify a lift and tires for my use. On my last rig (double cab Tacoma) I added a lift, wheels, and aggressive tires, but realized that it just wasn't getting its intended use. Plus I've been trying to fight the mod bug since I'm saving for a house, but we all know that the resistance doesn't last long so we'll see.. Thanks for the compliment tho! I live this color on the sport model.

Oh, I'm totally signing up for this write up! Mine hasn't worked since I bought the truck. Even the switch just hangs out from the seat, the clips are broke.

Mine did that too—Superglue fixed it right up.

Well, not today, but...
Changed the timing belt/water pump/cam seals etc; you know, all the stuff you do when you love your truck and are too cheap to go to a mechanic. It took a really long time, but was worth it.
Also replaced the sway bar links and bushings.
Next day some asshat rear ended me and now it's probably totaled.

Picked up a CAPA Certified Fender for MeanGreen today... 
Oh... and kinda related to my 4Runner... I bought a Lincoln Stick Welder today.... used my Canadian Tire Rewards Card points to buy it... so... cost me $0.00!

Today I, so far, I have fashioned a couple jumpers to bypass the 2 key sensors in the steering column's 'upper bracket assembly'.
Yesterday, I cut off the bracket that holds that POS 'upper bracket assembly' to the steering column. (see this thread for why http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-g...-cylinder-housing-question-2.html#post2004116 )
I can't believe they want $340+ for that thing!

Can you show the quality of the fender when you open her up. I have a CAPA replacement fender and it was paper thin compaired to the Toyota stamped fender, you can feel it flex also when pushing on it.

You must shop quite a bit at Canadian Tire Fightman. Nice pickup. I guess all those tissues are for your wife who will never get her house finished to her liking.

I do shop there quite a bit.... as it's the only "real" retail chain around. That being said, I collect points every time I use my Canadian Tire Mastercard, and I use that thing for EVERYTHING. I use it for buying groceries, gas, building supplies, restaurant food, virtually anywhere that takes a MC, I use my card there. At the end of the month, when I get my bill, I use my checking account to pay off the bill. (never carrying a balance from one month to the next)
As for the quality of the fender... it does look rather thin.... but all the shops in town seem to think they are a good quality, in fact... they recommend them. I was thinking of getting OEM.... but the nearest dealer is 3hrs away... :/ Besides.... Toyota Sheetmetal is pretty thin anyway...
I found a bodyshop that's been highly recommended by alot of people right here in town.... but couldn't get in to get a quote... as he is closed Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. :/
Looks like I'm going to have to stop by in a couple of weeks, when I'm off work. Getting a little surgery done, and will have to take a week off from work for recovery.... so I'll have some free time during the week.

Yes toyota is think but feels solid. Never time I just will find an OEM from a wrecker or salvage yard. Same with my hood, one little hail storm destroyed a new aftermarket certified hood.
