Took Dingbat on a beautiful drive with my special lady friend out to Gig Harbor for some delicious breakfast at the Devoted Kiss cafe. Egg Benedict, mimosas, coffee, and a cinnamon roll just because.

Ran some errands, picked up a new hose for the house and gave Dingbat a much needed wash and wipe down. I am trying to find some time this week to get my new Shrockworks front bumper on. (It's killing me that it is just sitting in my garage patiently waiting to go on.) Been too busy with work..

It the extra weight of the new front bumper is too much for the old springs and shocks, it will be a good reason to make a decision about my modest / mid travel lift. I am seriously considering the Toytec w/ 600# coils up front and possibly 906s in the rear. Still in the "research" phase for my lift. I want to end up with ~2" for the front and 2" or 3" in the rear.

I Turbo'd my runner! Followed Clownmeat's and Yoterman87's build threads... turned out pretty good! Its running great with no CEL's! I was an idiot and welded my wastegate Vband flange on wrong so I am limited to how much boost I can run at the moment, but new flange should be in Wednesday! :laugh:

oil change with big yota filter. new o2 sensor ( preventative), made my $4 dollar window screens ( cost me 9 cause I bought them in dark brown) and assembled my new roof rack...went cheap got a curt with an extension. assembled so the curt sticker is facing backwards so you cant see it, installed my led dome lights, treated my seats with lexol.
then I sat down and orderd my new shocks, springs, air bags, lbj's, ote's, diff breather mod parts, big O throttle body gasket, energy suspension rack and front sway bar bushings. Lots of it coming from camelback, some from ebay, some from amazon
tomorrow I need to figure out how to mount my kayak rack and my Yakima space master storage unit to my new roof rack...wash and wax the truck, mount the roof rack , and get ready to get back to work ( Sunday, monday and Tuesday are my days off) and ill be ready for next weeks camping trip
by then all my parts should be here (at my sons) and ill be in for a hectic 3 days of suspension overhaul on the 23rd to 25th and get it all done so I can get an alignment before I head back to work ( in the mountains)

Mass loaded vinyl on top of closed cell foam. Going good, going to take another two days at least though. Back is already killing me.

Nice. Shame we can't do like the Tacoma guys, and cut a hole in the bed. Use a Tool box as an airbox to protect the intake from dirt, rain, and debris.

I've yet to use it to inflate anything. I did however purchase it, due to a friend who has one. With as many years as I have known him, and all the shit we've been through (We're both ex-Racers, Fab, Design, Mechanics). Since he's 10yrs older than I am, I take his word as gospel.

Nice job so far. My rear quarter panels are still "sealed off" and I still haven't done the doors or rear hatch. Had a few other projects come up. I'm changing my rear wiper motor this weekend and installing some eagle eyes or other LED's back there so I should finally complete the rear hatch. You might want to consider starting a new thread. We'll both have to download a dB app and do some testing when we're finished.

I ended up going with a T3/T4 eBay turbo (Emusa) .50 A/R .63 A/R

It drives great! I am daily driving her, but have not gotten into a ton of boost b/c of that leak in my WG flange. I got the new flange in last night though... so I should be boosting more sometime this week! :banana:

I don't know how to start a thread so I'll post it here since this is the main spot for me...yesterday was my last day driving my 1996 Toyota 4runner limited with the factory rear locker at 312,260 miles I'm leaving for a two year mission to Anaheim California mission area
I'm LDS if y'all don't know and I just want to say thank you for all the help and fun time this forum has givein I hope I can see some of yalls awesome 4runners in the area..... Thank you... Also the 4runner will be fine my parents are going to watch it and drive it some..

I'm posting more verbosely in my build thread, just posting a light update in the spirit of this thread.

Man, this is an assload of work though. I feel like I'm maybe a quarter done with the lower half. Getting quicker on the compound curves, but geez, this is going to take all week.

At least the roof should be easy, and the doors ought to be pretty simple too compared to the floor pan.

New front sway bar bushing kit, steering rack bushing kit, lower ball joints, outer tie rod ends, and new shoes. Just got to fix the rubbing so it won't rub at full lock, and put the CB in. Then we will be ready for this weekends adventure.

Can anyone tell my why some of my pictures just turn sideways, or how to fix them so they are right?
