Got my new duratrac's and then went crazy with some plasti-dip. Bumpers used to be chrome. Still need to do rear emblem.
I like it honestly! It's like a flat black M3 "clear" coating!

Some people call those "damage multipliers". They really only push brush out of the way but do little for protecting the vehicle in the case of a crash or run in with an animal. They tend to fold into the grill and hood area and make a bigger mess than people think. An aftermarket plate or tube bumper would protect your truck a lot better and look a little cooler than a brush guard. I think trail gear has some cheaper tube setups, ARB is popular, check out some other bumpers on the forum here. Lots of good reviews on that type of gear.

needing help please
i am new here and have just created my account. i have tried several times to create my own thread but for some reason it wont allow me to. i just have a question im hoping someone will recognize the problem, being that there are some smart people on here from reading all the "help" replies....
last winter 2014 ONLY WHEN ITS COLD TEMPS i kept hearing a horrible grinding and the transmission continued to BANG in and out of gears. as well as grinding noise. its an automatic v6 3rd gen (1996) when the temps got warm ( above 50 degs ) it stopped. fast forward to this year- all summer long no problem. now that the temps have been cool it started up again. as i was sitting in a drive thru it started doing it again and i noticed the 4x4 indicator light was flickeriing. so when i got home i started thinking about it being electrical. so i yanked the 4x4 fuse. vwalah no more problem, but now i dont have 4x4. so with all of that said is there a relay or switch ( 4x4 lever in floor not a button or dial to engage it) that could be bad? does ANYONE recogize this problem? now that i think about it the grinding had to have been the transfer case trying to engage and couldnt because i was traveling at high speeds ( interstate ) and was attempting to at 30-40 mph hence the banging in/out of gears. does it sound like a solenoid? or a relay? can anyone tell me what i need to check first before going to get a jar of vasaline for the mechanic. does anyone have an idea or ever had this problem before??

Did you get the one for the tacoma and modify it to fit?
Yesterday I pulled the DRL resistor out from my 2000 to get rid of the DRL's.
Im shopping for Fog lights kits for my 2000 4runner SR5. i want them to look OEM but LED, so looking for a 2 inch I beleive Fog Light. Anyone knows any good high lumens LED fog lights? HID are too costy for my needs for fog lights. I wonder if anyone knows any good LED fog lights kits. I wated to take the XB from TRS but they are all 3.5 inch hehe. i would never say no to 2 400 lumens for fog lights.

I installed one bilstein 5125......... and i may or may not have drilled out the bushing a little to get it to fit.... the other will go on tomorrow, i just ran out of daylight.

Bolt up where the tow hooks were, then drilled a hole on either side. The fit is perfect on my 96. The one complaint I have is that the hitch pin hole is too close to the cross member, so my locking pin wouldn't fit. Still need to figure that one out...

Front sway bar bushings, alignment, gauges and aux port
1. Installed new Energy Suspension front sway bar bushings (only two bolts included :/)
2. Alignment done in prep for impending road trip to California.
3. Installed aux port pulled from Scion xB in center console
4. Completed the interior gauge led swap. White leds for gauge faces, blue leds for turn signals, gear selector, key ring, cig lighter ring (took some modding), blue leds for temp controls and white for gear shifter and glove box.

Finally got around to doing some fluid changes.
Engine oil replaced- mobil 1
Tranny drained- 4-5quarts autozone dex
Power steering fluid swapped- autozone dex
fuel filter finally replaced.
Realized i need new sway bar bushings, might just replace steering bushing while i'm at it.
