What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Decided to get remaining general maintenance parts ordered. Getting close to the 100k mark. As much as I wanted to just spend my entire budget on adding a supercharger, I decided to be responsible. Albeit the runner has had 0 issues in my 2 years of owning her.

-- TBU parts
-- TRE's, LBJ's, and remanned CV's (both cv boots are trashed inner and outer. been like that for over a month. Thought about going cvj but decided on OEM.)
-- spark plugs/wires
-- PCV and grommet
--grease & grease gun for drive shaft
-- new O2 sensors
-- bg 44k fuel system cleaner

let me know if i forgot anything!

Yuhp. I have a 96. That makes it a 19 year old vehicle. O2 sensors go bad every 75k, LBJs because I am lifted and added armor on the front. & TREs while I'm in there bc why not? Plus now I will have trail spares.

I don't know about the O2 sensors going bad every 75k, I'm pretty sure mine are original at 180k. They could probably stand to be replaced but I'm still getting 19-20 mpg highway in my truck which doesn't have the most fuel friendly mods on it...

Good call on the LBJs in my opinion though. It's good to see someone doing maintenance first. She'll serve you for many many years to come!

Looks like I am way overdue for a replacement then. Mine looks original and records I have back to 50k shows no replacement. 240k still hitting 18-20mpg though.

Replaced the lower shock mount bushings on the front suspension. Really easy to do since my friend has a press. Front end feels much tighter

Real automotive leather Automills Leather is the brand. California Upholstery in LA. They do high end custom and a lot of low riders. Lots of the stuff in magazines. Was referred by a friend so I called them for a quote and BAM! $650 for the two front seats. Not too shabby because the prices I was getting before was $450 or more for one seat. Only one bad thing. Cash only so I couldn't get mileage points on the credit card.

To be honest, I just dropped the seats off at his shop 8am, picked out the leather pattern and he said it will be ready tomorrow. Didn't discuss any foam pricing. However I did research on his shop. Its truly a pro shop. I'm very happy with the results. Seat feels great, just as firm as the originals. Now I have a new leather smell.. lol

Just for clarification the Precat O2 sensor is the only one that is required for fueling. The postcat O2 is emissions required ensuring your cat is working properly, if you aren't throwing codes changing the rear O2 does nothing for fuel performance. However, if it is throwing codes it can keep it from running close loop which will hurt milage.

And my '99 has 184k on it with a 100k+ O2 sensors and I'm getting better than average fuel mileage. Don't think you need to change the sensors until they fail or you see a real drop in fuel mileage.

I replaced mine in about 10 minutes. Cost was $95 from Amazon.

Im having the spring perch on my rear axle moved in closer to the rear pumpkin so my shackles sit straight in the rear. It was over to far and the spring was binding/bending and throwing my shackle off giving a driver side lean. This will fix that problem... Also having my Drag Link cut down a little to correct the angle and a support welded in so it doesnt bend in the rocks. I cant wait to get my truck back.

Got my Rigid Duallys plus CBI ditch mounts on. Still need to work on the wiring (just wiring it through the firewall to a switch). Super bright and easy install.
