i dropped it off to the bodyshop today....

"I started the process of a drain and fill on my transmission as preventative maintenance, but found that once I broke the drain plug free it gave an abnormal amount of resistance to keep turning. It feels like it may be stripped or misaligned or something - even though I could pretty easily force it out I'm not sure that's a good idea. I snugged it back in and am watching for leaks, but nothing yet.
After reading some more I may just leave the fluid alone. 125K miles, not sure on the history before 115K. Fluid is dark red (from the dipstick, color is a bit hard to tell) and doesn't smell too burnt."
I use a vac pump to remove fluids on a regular basis. Works well...

Do you think this would get 100% of the trans fluid out of the torque converter and all?
No. But it works great for a drain and fill plan. Also, it all happens up top, no need to crawl under the truck.
I also do oil changes with this method on occasion. Gets most of the oil out through the dip stick so not as much to deal with when draining the sump.
And power steering fluid as well. I used the turkey baster method once and decided to find a better solution.

I hope those are low profile... Otherwise you wont be able to roll the rear windows down all the way.Installed new 5.25in pioneer speakers on the back doors of the 4runner to replace the original blown out speakers.

Aligned my truck after the lift and other crap this week added/replaced on it. Not happy with the rake, and more front weight is coming. So ordered (just over cost, so I couldn't help myself) 10k winch with synthetic cable, Icon front coilovers/UCA, an some trinket stuff for the rest of the truck. :banana:

Good fishing in some of those rivers though just the thought of dueling banjos and Ned Beatty squealing like a pig doesn't keep me there too long.
