Finally got around to fixin my terrible looking center caps.. it matches close enough. Not 100%.. but hey, pretty solid I would say. MUCH better than they did look before. hah. :thumb: And I can keep repainting as often as they need since this seems to be a common issue with the center caps.

Changed my spark plugs for the first time on this 'new to me' 4runner.
Seems to have solved my idle issues for now.

I doubt yours weighs that much. Mine weighs 5000 exacty with front bumper, sliders, skids, roof rack, ~70 lbs of gear in the back, full tank of gas, and me (180 lbs).

Once I get my winch installed (One day, it's been sitting in a box for months...) and my rear bumper delivered I think I'll be right around 5300 lbs with me and a full tank of gas in a full armored 4Runner.

It seems I owe everyone an apology for some miss information. I hit two different scales today and they were within 20lbs of each other. One was 5160lbs and the other was 5140. So how that one scale told me 6200 a year or two ago is a mystery to me. At least I know where I'm sitting now.

Late reply. They just said they were busy. This is a small town shop with an owner/mechanic that is not consistent on what he will/won't work on. He is an excellent mechanic, but kind of fickle from day to day.

Im doing my coolant flush, new advance auto part radiator, new coolant zerex asian and had my little helper with me lol. To my surprise it had the red antifreeze in the system after i flush it so who ever replace the radiator before only fill the radiator and never flush it since it had the yellow antifreeze when i remove the old radiator. formula

Took it out on some nice trails in Browns Camp, Tillamook National Forest, Oregon with my son and a few other members on here [MENTION=88975]Swarty[/MENTION] . The weather was absolutely perfect. Had a great run and hit one spot where a locker would have come in handy. My son was awesome behind the wheel!

Did the same when I got my '99 - makes a big difference but they will shed that paint again. No biggie...

Lol im telling you i need more then just tires! This is my 3 4runner i got and im restoring it since i bough it out of auto action for parts vehicle i was going to fix my second one 98 limited with elocker but i bough me this one and i kind off like this 99 better lol plus it got more goodies than my 98 sr5 and limited. Got pre-wired for the elocker on this 99 so i going to swap my elocker out of my 98 limited. Yup i got alot of things i need!!!! Lol just replace my radiator on my 99 since it got damage from the front end collision plus ot got hit in the rear in my 99 but lucky it wasn't that bad so got that done plus had some frame damage but nothing major.
