What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I used some brand of Wheelersoffroad. Forget what it's called. Something tri flow or something. I use dry lube. Just used wd40 to make the sqeek go away. But I'm look into that lube you just shared. You say it's good?

It's been working fine for a year & 3 months now since I installed the All-Pro UCA's. I'm sure the Wheelers stuff is good, I trust them. I'm gonna check it out now.

This stuff? The description doesn't really tell you much about it but I like that it drys to a wax & isn't oily.

I'm running 2 Napa MaxDrives now & I need to figure out what to put on them to keep the rubbing to a minimum. I guess you're not using the double sided tape anymore. :bigok:

I changed the axles out with new OEM CV boots when I did my gears. That fusion tape needs to be in everyone's tool bag along with duct tape, goop and bailing wire!

Sprayed the boots down with 3M Silicone Dry Lubricant 08897. Hope it reduces the friction and minimizes the wear on the inside boots. Nothing beats good lubricant!

Well tried getting my Level 8 MK6 +0 offset wheels with 265/75/16 Falken Wild Peaks installed on my stock 01 Sport but they wouldn't fit... Rubbing up front.

Anyone else have a similar issue and have a solution (other than new tires)?

Yeah might have to... Currently trying to see if it would fit with 265/70/16 which were the stock size for Limited models.

Just do the dremel, it'll be worth it. You won't have to trim that much off. Just go slowly, take your time, and no one will even be able to tell.

Yeah that's what's happening because 265-70-16 rub against the running boards.

I'll trim the running boards soon. Anything else that would need to be trimmed? Didn't see it rubbing against anything else yet.

Just finished the isr mod, I left the pipe as bare metal just while I wait for the paint to get here. It actually doesn't look too bad with the bare aluminum

I re-routed the hose line to the tube on top. I saw it on a thread on here and it worked out

Yes sir. I use this stuff. I think wd40 makes dry lube now.

Plugs, wires, air filter and Sea Foam. I was getting a lot of hesitation off the line and it would stutter when I tried to accelerate hard. It had the original plugs and wires at 136k. Dumb. A couple of the plugs weren't even hand tight. Extra dumb. Also flipped the fuel filter that I put in backward the other day.

It runs 100% better now and I killed every mosquito in the neighborhood with the amount of smoke it was puking out. Feels good, man.

Replaced the steering rack bushings and sway bar bushings. Discovered that I need lower ball joints while in there.

Replace your ball joints ASAP - Only use OEM. This should be your highest priority since you know they're bad.

Changed the power steering fluid again using the dilution method. Did another quart after doing a quart about 500 miles ago. Probably just do a smaller change every oil change or every other from now on.

Also picked up some slim storage boxes from walmart that fit perfectly under the seat that provide more storage since we lack that in these 3rd gens. Freed up ALOT of space in the glove box and console now so I'm not digging through them. Put a lot of stuff I don't need frequently in them like owners manual, spare flashlight batteries, spare lighter, ice scraper (not needed for a while down here...), that kind of stuff.
