What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Today I decided it was time to plasti-dip the grill, front and rear bumpers. My first reason for doing this is I really don't like chrome on trucks, and the previous owner did a terrible half ass respray on the rear bumper with chrome spray paint.

Finally got my front and rear sway bars installed and it's definitely night and day difference. Bought parts store junk links that broke on the trail first day. When installing poly bushings I sheared a bolt off. Had to recap it.

I was waiting for mstudt to make me a set of links but has been in hiatus. I have a trip to grand canyon in a week and could not wait any longer.

So tapped the broken bolt on the SS sway bar lift brackets. Poly bushings. Bought the expensive 2nd gen Moog rear links. Hoping the extra length helps them from breaking. Installed some wabfab front disconnects.

Now my rig feels complete with the sway bars connected and adjustable panhard bar installed. SPC arm's at setting G and aligned I have eliminated pinch weld rub. Life is good again.

I cleaned the garage on Sunday. That's 5 hours of my life I will never get back. Than I backed the 4runner into the garage today(the door was open. lol). Just getting some prep done for installing the lift and new bushings for the rack and sway bars Saturday. So far I have no help so if anybody happens to be good with a wrench and happens to be in Bishop, CA this weekend let me know. I haven't been this stoked to mess with a vehicle in a long, long time.

Cleaned the ac condenser.

Ala StreetCreeper style - with the house ac foaming spray.

We will see if it helps.

Had to go to 2 different Home Despots to find it, though, so I did put a little effort into it.:biggrin1:

Been lurking for a while but this is my first post here

Picked up this one-owner 01 with 150k a few weeks ago. i haven't had much time to do much but i've managed to dip the old fading factory rims until i can find some
newer ones on cl. along with taking the granny steps off. i've been looking at racks like the gobi and baja but i also saw where people were making them out of atv ramps.
this past weekend harbor freight had a sale and i picked one up for $75. with a few trips to home depot i made a pretty decent rack for under $200.

It was not factory equipped. There is quite a bit of grinding and a little welding necessary to fit it in a non-elocker axle housing.
