I got home a little early so I got everything taped off and the passenger side cut in. Tomorrow should see the driver side light installed and both lights wired up. It will be nice to have backup lights that actually illuminate the ground.
Please share details.

01-02 had a recall on the LBJ's. If it hasn't been claimed already you can go in and have both replaced for free. Did it when I first bought my 4runner.

Nothing....well at least today. Went hunting! The broke down Toyota will be there as hunting season will end. LOL

So got home and threw in the Thermostat after dumping in the snake oil. Will get some coolant tomorrow, but have to spend all day on the road. Made the hoses leak with 20lbs but did not find anything else leaking.
Did not get any coolant....will get that done tomorrow late....as I have thing to kill and people to see.

I purchased them from Amazon for $18. I ended up mounting them on either side 15 1/4" from center of the bumper. This put the back of the lights right in the brace for the rear bumper to mount with. One word of caution - the lights did not come with a template. I made a template in about 15 mins and wish I had added 1/4" all the way around it so as to make cut/install easier.

Yup, still around. My rear diff blew up so the runner has been sitting for a year. I pulled the front and rear diffs (both 4.88 w/ ARB) and sold them to get a DD. Rear elocker swap in process now!
Replaced my starter. That was fun! Next the runner boards are going.
While I had the wheel off, I thought I would remove the front bumper wheel well flares. Any advice on a easy way to remove the flares? I can't seem to get a wench on the top nut and the bottom one seems to be rusted solid as the nut and bolt just spin together. :wtf:

How do you post a new thread? Someone bumped my mirror with their car and now it's hangin to the side and it's very loose, I need to find a way to get to the screw that would tighten the housing back to the body of my 4Runner.

Pegged my Fun Meter...
...chasing down a water main that broke in my water system. Covered in mud, bitter cold (PNW standards - you midwesterners, canadians and east coaster's don't laugh!) and actually used my Rigid Industries Ditch Lights to shine in the ditch while we worked all night! I like the "Sport" not the "Utility" part of my rig.
The Hyper spots are good but I like what the JK's do with a dual setup. One is a flood and the other is hyperspot. Seriously considering doing a dual stack up. Would love to hear what you guys think. Length of the front end????
Huge mess. Had to shut down the entire water system to all homes to figure out which pipe it was. Easily narrowed it down once I saw the slip-fix on a main supply line. Photo is deceiving - four feet deep there.
The culprit - The guy I bought the system from a few years ago was an idiot. I've had to go in and repair so many of his f-ups. (Thus the reason I bought the entire system from him!!) Here's another one; found this slip-fix on the main line heading to six homes. Anyone who deals with water systems know you don't use a slip-fix on 2" schedule 40 main lines. This is why. Anyway, I repaired using two compression couplers.

Today I decided to err on the side of caution and do preventative work on the two major things nagging at me: strawberry milkshake and lower ball joints.
Lower/Upper ball joint assemblies cost me $280 from Amazon. I'm having a mechanic install that and an external transmission cooler this weekend. I am quoted $950 total...
Well at least I'll have some peace of mind.

Installed some longer rear swaybar end links. I had a $50 gift card from Oreillys, so I used it for a set of aftermarket 02' T4R front end links for the rear.
