Built and installed a poly mount for the auto trans.

Got back home after a little dirt road action. Parked the rig and left it running so I could check voltage at the battery. No reason other than I like to do that to all my vehicles once a month or so. After making sure every thing was good I closed the lid and shut it off. I was about to head inside when I heard the very distinctive sound of an air leak. I followed the sound to my right rear tire. Sure enough there was air escaping from a small gash in the tread. I thought for sure it was a rock puncture. There was nothing visible from the outside. I pulled out my compressor and aired it back up. Then I drove to the local tire shop so they could pull and patch it. Here's what we found sticking through on the inside:

And what tires are you running?
So I know not to ever buy them if a key can puncture them ...
That's crazy.

A key can puncture any tire
If it's on the road and it wants to get into your tire it will. Theres just no stopping it, that shouldn't be the reason as to why you don't buy a tire.
