Make sure the window lock switch isn't engaged. Then check for power at the motor. Try with key on the tailgate, switch and remote. Might be broken wires in the tail gate harness.

checked the motor for power removed from the regulator and rolled the switch up and down and saw the motor visibly move, wire harness and wires are all good. motor budges the window when the switched is pushed down but for some reason it wont bring the window down all the way. going to regrease the rails and grease the window runners tomorrow hopefull that fixes it.

I finally got around to cleaning my leather seats since I bought my 97 SR5. It's amazing what a little elbow grease will do for them. In the picture shows a difference between the cleaned (left) and the dirty (right).

Holy bat crap...I would be getting one every other day. Oh thats right we have one within 30 miles and it is closed 95% of the time. I do what I can to hose the salt off out in the driveway!

Not sure where you are out west, but here in northern California we have car washes and Starbucks every few hundred yards — I think it is required by law actually.

OK that's a lie, I don't think it's law yet about the car washes.

Here's a town that's just south of me, it has less than 75,000 people but has 7 Starbucks. There's an intersection that has three Starbucks on three different corners essentially. Wtf...

I just did the same to my belts to find they look orignal and about to fall apart. I was scared to touch them or tighten them. LOL. Ordered up some Bando replacements and they will be going on this weekend after I fix a buddies LCA failure on his V8 Thunderbird. Hope I have enough time on Sat to get it all done. Tired of the squeal and I'm sure my neighbors are also. HAHA.

Be prepared to tighten the belts a while after you initially install them. I think this is the 2nd or 3rd time in 5000 miles since install that I've re-tightened the belts. They stretch.
