What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I have used a lot of different car products over the years, but by far the fastest way to clean leather is to use LA Totally Awesome orange. I learned this from a professional detailer some time ago. These are the steps I use:

1. Apply orange cleaner to damp cloth, then just rub the heck out of it until you are happy with the cleanliness.
2. Get separate clean wet cloth, and go over the orange cleaner in order to remove it. You will have to keep refreshing your wet cloth in order to get all the soap off.
3. After the stickiness is gone from the orange cleaner, just make sure it is dry using a dry cloth.
4. You can use any leather conditioner after that, I like to use the brown lexol leather conditioner. Just apply a nice even coat, let it dry for a few minutes then buff of it off with a clean towel. Then your done.

It is actually pretty quick, it just takes some work, but I have tried lots of leather cleaners, and nothing works like this orange stuff. It is $1 at my local dollar store. Hope that helps!

It is my go to cleaner for many things. Another trick I learned that beats the pants off of any Armour all crap, is using turtle wax ice on your dash and interior plastic. It gives it a nice sheen, but not that sticky dust attracting shine that looks terrible anyways. Also turtle wax ice has a polymer which "seals" your dash and should protect it from sun damage.

The stations by me have different plans between $20 & $40. Mine is only Exterior & Undercarriage Wash & Dry. That's all I need for the salt removal. I dont let them clean & vacuum my interior. I have tools & other valuables with me.

There's a gas station by me that has free air & vacuums, now that's rare to find!

Nope, good point, but we don't need the undercarriage wash in sunny SoCal for salt on the frames like the rust belt. It does include free diy vacuum though.

OEM belts for all 3. I dont have a belt tension gauge so I just eyeballed the "toitness" of each belt. It's common.

I'd rather under-tighten and listen to squeal than overtighten and burn out some bearings or compressor or clutches. just my thought process.

oh yeah i've got the baller "manager's special" plan. I get the sweet Lava Shield paint protector and rain-x "water beader" treatments. Not to mention the crazy LED's amplifying the colors of all the polishes and waxes and treatments I get along the ride. Free Vacuum stations, and all the microfiber towels and windex spray you could ever need.

Looking at upgrading to these also...What are you impressions post-install?

This upgrade is definitely worth it! Took me about 2.5 hours to complete. I ordered my rotors, pads and calipers of amazon for around 260. The rotors are drilled and slotted. Probably not the highest quality out there but they aren't junk either. Noticed a huge difference in stopping power.

99% sure all 3 were Denso Belts. I ordered from Camelback. I'll check when I can and update

Call a Toyota dealer, Google search your model bumper, look on eBay, look on Craigslist, look on your local newspaper's classifieds and lastly, look on this forum in the "for sale" section.

Prices will probably be in the same order starting from most expensive at the dealer to cheapest from someone on this forum.

If your belts are new and are tensioned correctly check the condition of your pulleys. Scrub them down with a brass brush if need be.
