just installed a CBI T43R Antenna mount on the driver side. To that I have attached a quick release spring mount which allows attaching a 6 ft safety flag. Gonna hit the local ORV park as soon as I get a rain-free weekend here

Braved the windchill and installed a new CURT rack. I'm digging it.
I have a new rear bumper with swing out spare carrier but, it needs some custom finishing before the install.

Started this last weekend (TB/WP/VCG/Alt./Rad.).
Was going to finish it up this weekend, but forgot where I put the new dip stick and timing belt cover washer/gaskets. :redbrick:
Hope the ones I ordered from Camelback this morning get here before next weekend. ray:

P.S.: Make sure you're careful when you pull off the crank pulley. It's heavy and can smash things.

Installed my new full length custom rack from Outgear Solutions. Joe was great to work with and shipping all the way to NJ from CA was reasonable. Bulletproof palleting also. LOVE the low profile. Also installed a 40" Morimoto XTorch light bar which Joe added some custom brackets for the light and they fit the light perfectly. Ran the wiring harness through the "plug" underneath the rack endcaps. That was a pain because one of the "Oh s&^t" handles wouldn't come all the way off because I stripped one of the screws. I sneaked the wire under the pillar trim with it loose but in place.

Replaced the rear hatch struts. Strong Arm 6815 installed. What a difference! Tried the OEM equivalent first but they weren't much better than the failing Monroe's I already had on. They lasted 2 years. Hope these 6815 last longer.

Gave the runner a good cleaning inside and out. Engine bay cleaned too.

very basic rear platform

snagged a 2x12, a 4x4 sheet of plywood and some carpet and put a rear platform together. I'll build a front portion soon for full sleeping platform

What did you do to your 3rd gen today?

I took some pictures of the two together before it was hauled away! It was nice to drive it down the street one last time before it got taken on the flatbed. Other than that, I epoxied the housing of the broken KC back together, and sanded and painted the Rigid lights. You can almost tell they weren't involved in a rollover!

Edit: It has been pointed out that all of the suspension is still on there, but don't worry...the dismantler is taking of my suspension, brakes, axles, and sliders off for me!

Bed platform and storage

Finally almost finished with my storage and sleeping arangements. It's been about two months in the making, but I can't post my own thread since I'm a newbie around here :shrug: . Anyway, let me know what ya'll think so far.

Replaced corroded and seized bell cranks... A few weeks ago, I noticed what seemed like the rear brakes sticking. Then suddenly the parking brake lever became really loose. Sure enough, both bell cranks were corroded, and the right one was completely seized.

Got this kit:

Covered the new parts with silicone grease to keep down future corrosion:

Probably could have cleaned them up on the grinder and repainted, but didn't seem worth it for the trouble and downtime, when the replacement kit was only $38.

I replaced the LBJs and front sway bar bushings with new end links. I also finished installing OME 890s and LC KYBs in the rear.

I took measurements to cut some flanges to make a rear wheel bearing tool thing...you know, the pipe that is used to hold the backing plate while pressing out the axle and bearing. Going to cut the flanges on the water jet at work Monday. I'll post pics of the finished piece in my build thread.

So I installed them and didn't tell the wife
I let her use the truck to run some errands
She just got home and was like WTH did you do to your headlights I want that on my car it's like day time.
She said no one flashed her so im good there
I haven't personally driven with them on yet but if her response is any indication, i am going to like them.

That is just the rack I am looking for. I searched the forums and Whitson came up as the maker of a rack very similar to that but a lawsuit from Gobi shut him down right?

When I search for Outgear Solutions I get nothing, can you point me in the right direction?

I paid $7.61 from the local Toyota dealer. That's pretty clever man! I didn't even think of that.





Your guess is as good as mine. I received mine in this condition. I'm pretty careful with putting things back in.

I didn't think of even looking to see if they are still available new from the dealer. Not sure why everyone gave you a hard time over this. Little things make the difference and show that you truly care for your stuff. It falls under the restoration category to me, which is cool. There is some useful information on it too, like for the multimode ones it tells you what the max speed is you should run it in AWD/4WD and what speed it can be engaged/disengaged at.

What you guys doing with yours that makes em wear out? Mine has endured 154k miles and it's still mint. Not a wrinkle.....

I think with mine it was probably a combination of UV, Alabama Humidity, and use from being pulled out a few times over the years,

You're right! Going to go search eBay so I can get a JDM overnighted from Tokyo. I won't be driving the truck anymore until it gets here.
