What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Picked up the rest of the hardware for the hitch install from the junk yard. Going to install hitch, 5 star wheels, taco whip and new shocks. Hopefully the helps the booty sag it has at the moment.

Currently installing it and for the most part, no issues. I was missing a bracket that the screws bolt onto. I was able to get that the rest of the screws from the junkyard.

Yup that was me. I wish I still had all the hardware to give you but the bolts were trashed and the the internal hardware got lost somehow. Glad you were able to make it all work it. You have any kind of build thread yet?

I didn't really know what I need to install it until I went to the junkyard and noticed the internal bracket, so took those and the bolts. Thanks again.

No. Don't have a build thread, Idk why I haven't started one yet. I'll probably put something together this week.

Taco Whip installed

Hitch Installed...I know my bumper is beat but I'm hoping to upgrade to something better by the end of the year.

Hey guys, you're probably getting tired of pics of my box by now, but this time I need your help / ideas. ....

Regarding the latches to secure the drawers and the tops... the only thing I could find were these simple latches (one each for the drawers and two each for the tops). Now what can I use to secure it?
I want something that is tight and won't raddle. Trying to think of a hard-ish rubber plug. (....and yes I'm sure at least a dozen of you are smirking right now and dieing to post something from the Adam and Eve Website.... LOL)

What about just using two bungee cords? Wrap each around your roll bar then pull tight across the drawer face and hook the two together? The tension will stop any rattling and they will come in handy for other things a lot more often then you'd think. I'm always about dual function when I try so think through a system.

after 2 uses my solenoid crapped out on the winch, but i got a free replacement. today i replaced it, cleaned my winch rope and re-spooled. good to go.

This is what my 3rd gen did TO ME today. The other week I put in the driver side grab handle by my head and I guess because I have short legs I put the seat far forward. I went over a curb going out of the gas station and whacked my head pretty hard on it. I'll have to put some foam on it.

Dude! Find a set of rear coils someone has pulled off their 5th gen 4Runner! There are always sets for cheap on my local CL, and they are the PERFECT spring to eliminate sag on a stock height 3rd gen. Here is my '97 with 2014 rear coils-

While swapping LBJs I noticed my front sway bar bushings were pretty much toast.

Ordered new ones today, PN if any one needs it is 90948-01003, $1.72 each

Not much, but it's a start. Had all the windows tinted (except for the rear one). This included a carbon full window tint on the front windshield. It really knocks down on the glare, daytime and night time. Then the bug shield and rain guards were put on. Again, not much but a start.

Found out the MIL is gonna be in town Memorial Day weekend. (Oh great.) Wife says to me, "Why don't you take that weekend and go play with your truck." Quick call to my brother and it's Moab here we come! Super excited to hit some mild trails out there.

Haha the center is for ORO but the sides are one a separate switch just for the ditch. I have them all wired to a relay so they turn on with the high beams cause I'm to lazy to manually turn them off when on coming cars show up

Finally buttoned up the center console upgrade. New double-din head unit and USB port install. Sent the climate control unit and clock to @JRZEE2000T4RLTD and got them back and install, awesome work and very quick!
