Home made splash guards. After installing my Fat Pats 1.5" body lift, it was time to replace the aging and no longer sufficient stock splash guards.

The material used was kitchen drawer liner. 10 bucks CDN for 4ft. Just enough to do both sides. Happy with the final product and now we'll just have to see how tough they are.

Today I went to discount tire to get my 285/75R16 tires put on the stock wheel and come to find out they didn't fit due to the offset of my wheel and the tire was rubbing on the UCA's. I heard wheel spacers were bad for my truck, and I wasnt planning on new wheels right away but I guess I have to now. More money but in the end hopefully will be worth it.

surprisingly I've ONLY heard tire shops say that...

BTW, there are 2 types of spacers...
A) like a washer between your studs and tire... it makes the studs have less thread to bite.
B) bolt on... like the spidertrax... this is much stronger and recommended. it's also been proven on by many users here that wheel hard...

Nice looking rig, and the flares look good

All the plastics on my rig are faded, and I've been wanting to freshen them up. Rattle can works, and is easy to repair.

You didn't want to just take your flares off to paint them?

It was way to easy to just tape and paint the flares and since I did not want to paint them gloss black there was no need to remove them. The Bedliner looks great and resists the branch hits better than gloss paint.

Northern Japan is Mountain forest trails and rivers to wheel in, so branch hits are common. You are correct, repairs are simple.

They are also easy to shine up if you like that, a little silicon grease on a microfiber and wipe them down. Nice and shiny for weeks, unless dirty from wheeling.

I pulled the axles and took them down to my favourite local machine shop to press on some new bearings and retainers. The bearings had a ton of play in them, but they're original and it was a matter of time after 18 years. Also cleaned up some frame rust and the rusted-out spare...

Everything can go back together tomorrow!

Today I added a switch to lower and raise my antenna. Once I replaced my radio system the antenna raises everytime it comes on even if I'm not listening to radio. So I added this switch and I'm happy with it

Denso Radiator from Amazon. Still waiting on upper and lower hoses.

Upon careful inspection radiator looks undamaged, that's how it was in the box when I opened it. Might have it tested before installing it.
