had the pleasure of fixing the previous owners F* up, he rounded out the front diff plug and just left it. I "squared" it up with a dremel and pounded a 1/2" wrench onto it. Came right out with some seafoam deep creep

I've been running Duratracs and have been unhappy with them for the most part. They are a GREAT tire if you dabble in everything, but as I push my personal limits along with vehicle I need to either go back to my BFG KM2 or get another set of tires. Is this what you mean by the snow tires or are you thinking of different tires all together?

Took it to pick up some parts that someone on Facebook was giving away for free.

Picked up some unknown brand rear springs and shocks, another tow hitch, and some bilstein front shocks that the PO said were for a 3rd gen Tacoma? Not sure about that, might look up the part number on them.

Thanks, I checked last night and they're for the 3rd gen tacomas. PO said he ordered shocks for his 4Runner and they sent him these by accident. I have no need for them so on Craigslist they'll go. The springs have no serial numbers or labels so I'm unsure how I'll be able to identify them, same go for the rear shocks. He said the springs gave it a 3 inch lift but rode stiff.

Replaced wiper blades finally since I got it...doesn't rain much in San Diego
, installed my subs, replaced my front brake pads, installed a cargo net in the back to keep stuff from rolling around, oh and installed the DDM tuning LED headlight kit I got for my birthday.

Ordered a 4 gallon Rotopax to go in the roof rack. With the larger tires I feel more comfortable in the back country with some extra gas. lol

Also committed to working Saturdays for the next 5 weeks. My boss is busy and trying to take on more work to stay busy through the winter. He thinks I'm doing it to be a nice guy. That's partly true. The larger part is to get my rig re-geared sooner. Those five days will put me halfway to getting ARB's and 5.29's from ECGS. lol

I just changed my oil this morning, but figure'd I'd weigh in here since I ended up putting more mileage (~7,900 miles) than I normally would before changing the oil (usually at 5k intervals). Using Mobil1 high-mileage 5w-30, replacing with the same: after nearly 8,000 miles the oil was dark but still quite fluid; better than I expected considering that mileage interval saw two and heavy duty trips across half the country. I never would have said "sure, no problem" to 8k service intervals, but dang if this wasn't right up to the task.

Mobil 1 High Mileage is an excellent oil. I run the 10w-30 in the Bronco, it does well.

Even the Mobil Super High Mileage is excellent stuff.:reddance:
