I perfer the remote when I had my old Pioneer in. That way I can rest it on my leg as I drive and feel the buttons. I don't need to look at my phone screen as I drive.

I haven't messed with it too much so I can't comment on it with any real knowledge but I did notice Bluetooth connects pretty quick, said it was ready within 10 seconds of starting the 4runner.
My wife's navigation in her Sonata is the worst, takes at least 45 seconds to be fully connected and ready to use. The JVC deck in my work car is real quick, like 3 seconds. We use Android phones.
Thanks for reminding me about the remote, I put the box up in the garage and forgot to take it out.

Same here on my simple media deck, first radio I had with a remote and I thought it would be useless, but I like it now.

I put a Velcro sticker on it and have it stuck on the far side of the armrest, I can move my hand over there and do nearly anything to the radio from that without reaching forward or looking down.

What brand are those LBJs? They don't look like the typical Sankei 555/Moog which are a grade below OEM, but still better than something no name.

Would you mind sharing the part number for the bolts? I've found them for the LBJs themselves, but not the bolts. Newbie here, just want to make sure I'm ordering all the parts I need when replacing the LBJs.

According to my notes: LBJ bolts: 90080-10066 (x4 per side)

My autozone LBJ's had significant play after 8k miles. Not worth even the best case scenario. $160 to stay on all 4 wheels is well worth it. Then replace every 60k-80k miles.

you searched for lbj failure, but not aftermarket lbj failure.

What is the failure rate of those specifically not including the normal recall failure.

Good lordy. Took two hours to get the driver side cv out of my son's 4runner. Whoever installed it must have hammered it in - chipped some of the teeth an bound up the whole thing by tweaking the c-clip and making it come out of its groove. When I finally got it to come loose 2/3rds of the clip shot across my shop and the other 1/3rd shot back inside the front diff. I love magnets!
