picked up some front sway bar links at napa. On sale for 18 dollars each right now. Disconnecting the front, throwing the new ones on the rear.

Started at 5am on the drive down to pick up some stuff from Savage. Roy also was nice enough to weld up my [MENTION=28464]eimkeith[/MENTION] PCK. Here's some teasers before I get my ass in the garage. Which, as soon as the 861's go on, my truck won't fit into anymore ironically enough. lol

Took it camping for a week. Noticed a funny noise on a logging trail. Confirmed failing alternator in the middle of nowhere. Realized I was still getting 13.5V if I shut everything off at 80kms/hr and risked the 4.5 hour drive home. Made it!
New alternator and belts went on today.

Hahahah.. My truck stopped fitting in my tiny low ceiling garage about a year ago. I feel like mine was a first time home buyer mistake as it had been some time since I had put my vehicle in a garage. Not just that, but you should remeasure to get a total height for ANY parking garage visits. I have negated about two thirds of the total parking garages in Seattle. :brick:
I see the bracket got welded nicely in place. I wish you clear sailing on the installs!

Got her out of storage yesterday! 11 months sitting and she fired right up and ran like a champ. Just a full tank of non-ethanol gas and 1/2 a can of seafoam before bed last fall.

Went and test drove another 2000. From a dealer two hours away. It was new to their lot, so I asked for some pictures, everything looked good and I drove out there. Ended up having quite a few cosmetic issues I probably could have dealt with. Drove really well and was quite peppy (143K miles). But the engine was pretty dirty and then the engine light came on. Priced at 6K, but wasn't in love. So, I guess the longer this takes to find the right deal, the more money I can set aside for a better one or more upgrades from the start.

since we don't have a questions that don't deserve their own thread...thread, I'll just post on this one.
does anyone know if you can use a hi lift as a general use jack? the only ones I have are for smaller cars, and buying one with enough height and weight capacity puts me right into hi-lift price territory anyway. Next cheapest option is bottle jacks, but if I can save the cash, why not?

Just going to post the same question . Certainly frees up a lot of space as opposed to a big friggin box ( that I have come to despise )

Yep. The idea was to be able to remove it and never know it was there if needed. I came close but ended up having to drill 4 1/4" holes on the panel to hold the frame of the sub on. Other than that and a tiny bit of trimming on the factory enclosure opening, which the lid covers, I could return it to stock form. Not that I ever willl.
The inside of the factory enclosure is wrapped in closed cell pad. The outside of the factory enclosure is wrapped with butyl. Then the entire rear quarter is wrapped in butyl. The factory enclosure size is a little small for a 10" sub but it works well and sounds bad ass.

For some reason I can see the pictures in my build thread again which are Photobucket. I was just going to go update them to Flickr. and I noticed this. But I downloaded the embed fix to Chrome which supposedly allowed me to see Photobucket embeds (which didn't work for very long) so I don't know if they are really visible or only visible for me. Can someone tell me if they can see the photos on my build thread? Someone who doesn't have any anti-Photobucket add-ons.

My rigs a 97.
I have 2 amps.
A 1000w 4chan Hifonics is under the drivers seat. It barely fits but I can still adjust the seat without hitting it. That one drives 6.5" Infinity Reff 6500's in the front doors and 6.5" Polk DB651's in the rear doors.
There's also a 1500w Boss Mono stuffed in the passengers rear quarter. It's a perfect fit. . That's my dedicated sub amp. It's held in with 3 self tapping screws and has been there for a year. I wheel a lot and it's bomber solid so far. I was worried about heat but it never shuts down do to thermal overload.
One year I'll start a build thread so this stuff is easier to find but if you search my username and speakers or sub or sound deadening you should be able to find my install stuff.
