Installed the TransGo shift kit in my 4Runner today on the Truck settings. I also replaced the shift solenoids and filter because I was getting an error and was in there.
The rig shifts great and holds the shift point nicely behind the supercharger. I wish I had paid someone else to do this years ago.

Installed some new OEM brake pads to finally get her completely ready for Moab. Found I have either sticking caliper or matter cylinder issue. Pads but wearing evenly driver to passenger.
Also finished up installing brothers rear end that got bent from hit and run on his 4th gen. That was a PITA.

Today was a good day. Painted the Savage bumper and swingouts. Knocked out the SS rear body mounts. Removed my old Toytec 3" springs and installed the ARB 861's. Mounted the Savage bumper. Mounted both swing arms.
What can I say about painting? It sucks. The whole time I'm thinking of things that are worse just to keep my mind occupied. I couldn't come up with much. lol
[MENTION=119532]Road Bull[/MENTION] With the rear bumper off those top bolts for the body mounts where super easy. Don't know why I even bothered to try with the bumper still on a few weeks ago.
[MENTION=116387]Unner[/MENTION] I tried your way for the springs on the drivers side. Then I used the traditional way on the passenger side. I timed both from start to finish and tried to be as non-bias as possible. Getting the compressors to fit is a huge PIA. It's like a jinga puzzle. I managed. Got them out and wriggled the 861's in. BTW, your way with compressors 58 minutes. The old way of removing tire, removing shock bolt, removing upper rear control arm bolt was way faster at 36 minutes. I'll stick with my way but thanks for the tip.
Savages bumper installed with zero issues. It was kind of a PIA to do solo but I can be stubborn like that. I hate to ask for help. All bolts where there in the correct count, everything lined up with zero hammering, and it looks bad ass. One of the easiest after market installs I've done, so thanks Savage.
I need to order the rotopax mounts and a few other lugs so I can actually mount the wheel. I also need to finish putting the plate holder on and mounting the struts. Then fine tune the swingout helms but that's an hour at most.
Overall I'm stoked to have this completed. Especially that damn painting, lol

LBJs. Went with moog just cause I always have with all my other vehicles and customers vehicles and have NEVER had any issues. Even on trucks I've lifted 12inches and are running 40s and/or 24x14s

Also found an annoying rattle that I've been chasing for months now.
I thought was inside the cab but it was one of my brake lines slapping my gas tank and floor board because the plastic clips wore out.

Update!
Went and made real progress today. We did the following:
Installed and timed Camshafts
Bearings on cams
Removed hydraulic tensioner
Compressed and set pin o n tensioner
We encountered a problem though with the low end...we went to turn her with a socket and breaker bar and have was not moving. Took some real torque to get her low but it's not smooth. I was told by my friend to pull spark plugs and put some marvel mystery oil, or ATF, or engine oil in to help.
She has been sitting for 2 months since I got here with her, and I'm a little worried because she wasn't this hard before.
Any ideas about how to free her up so I can set timing and tensioner??
Since im 2wd I was going to rip the oil pan off, and hit the bearings with some penetration and lube, and clean out pan.
Really hope it works out I want to get her running by tomorrow if this low end cooperates

Had a good time on a local trail with my brother and my son. Kissed a boulder at one point but whatever. Getting a new tail light today. Saw this SAS first Gen up at the lake. All in all a fun day.

15mpg mixed driving with ko2 E. I used to get more like 18. Before I fixed my broken fuel gauge I'd fill up at 280-300 miles with 265/70 revo 2 tires. Now I have to fill at 230. I know there's a bit of difference with the odo with the bigger tires.
Flushed the clutch fluid. Easy job, used a turkey baster to remove most of the old fluid from the clutch master cylinder and filled it with fresh brake fluid. Bled the slave cylinder, which is located on the left (drivers) side of the transmission, until ithe fluid was clear while topping off the master cylinder as needed.
