Tundra Brake Upgrade

Including new brake backing plates, all hard and soft lines and brackets up to the frame rails, and installing spacers I picked up from a local guy a few weeks ago.

Those Tundra brake lines or just new stock 4r lines and brackets? I'm wanting to do the TBU also but was under the impression all that was need was calipers/rotors/pads.

Just new stock 4runner lines, except Stoptech braided for the flex line. Replacing the lines and brackets is not necessary. Mine were suspect however, due to age and rust, so while I was in there...

4runner backing plates. I did the standard trimming to clear the Tundra calipers. But, I also cut them to slide over the hub, since I wasn't interested in removing hubs.

Installed my Bilstein 6112 coilovers at the 6/7 position (1.64" advertised lift). I got 1.9" and the ride is firm but responsive on road. Better than the 150k original setup

Well, I drove 'er home! Finally the proud owner of a 3rd gen 4runner! Build thread asap!

Replaced driver's CV axle (was a ***** to get past C clip). Removed hatch locking mechanism for cleaning with PB blaster (was FULL of dust and sticking), locked up recovery boards on OEM roof rack (they fit perfectly!), Tree proofed washer box hoses sticking out from side of front steel bumper, new wipers, air filter

I picked up my new 99 Limited RWD and drove it from SD to Covina (bout 100m). First thing was radiator fluid, it was bone dry. It has over 230k miles and has been rolled but it drove straight, handled LA freeways fine, and cruised along at 70 with no problems. So now I have to get it smogged and registered, and that requires replacing the O2 sensor. Sensors?

Since my last update I've:
- had the 4runner repainted,
- fixed the antenna,
- installed the toytec boss lift,
- ball joints,
- tundra brakes,
- lowered the front diff,
- extended brake lines in the back,
- speed bleeders (+ new brake fluid),
- extended sway bar links in the back,
- Sonoran steel panhard bar,
- Shrockworks armor (complete package, front & rear bumpers, skids, and step sliders),
- flares (not shown in the pics I uploaded),
- powder coated wheels off a 2016 4runner,
- aligned,
- and I am sure I am forgetting something.
This weekend I hooked up the blinker lights in the Shrockworks front bumper, got the wheels balanced (again), waxed the new paint job for the first time.
Still waiting on a bajarack roof rack before I can call it done on the outside.

Where/how did you get it repainted and how much did it cost? Maaco?

Nice work. Were you still able to install the fender liner to cover the gap between the front door and inner fender?
