There are crimes more serious... But... thievery makes me want to track them down and pressure wash the flesh from their hide.

I'm glad I didn't catch him... I might regret what I'd do. The guy across the alley chased after him but he got away.
Only out a few hundred dollars, live and learn, could be worse.

Posting this here because I guess I'm too much of a newbie to post topics
The Runner is for sale near my home. I haven't seen it yet, but he claims that the engine and drivetrain are healthy. It's a good price for the milage, but you can see the front clip looks very very sad. Is that something all new parts can fix? Or is that frame damage? If I can scoop it up and fix it then it'd be worth it 100%

You need to measure the core support and hood to see if either are bent. Plan on replacing the radiator regardless.

Changed out my stock froze up emergency brake cable for a new one (Wagner) from RockAuto. The only tools needed were a 12mm socket, needle nose pliers and a phillips head screwdriver and now I have a working parking brake.
Very easy job that took less than 1 hour to complete. Now I am off to get the oil changed. I know - do it yourself, but I am 800 miles from home where I have the stuff needed to do it.

Yes, 4th Gen 4Runner rims bolt right up. 6-lug. 265/65R17. Similar Tacomas as well. Tacomas have a .5 inch inward offset that some don't like.
I found mine on Facebook Marketplace. It's for people that are tired of the Craigslist scams. Real people, real names, less crap.

I started some front end work, I got the drivers side CV axle re-booted with a Toyota boot kit and I got the LBJ on that side replaced. On Monday I'll do the LBJ on the right side, then start tearing apart the rear end for new axle seals/bearings/brakes. It looks like I could use UBJ's as well, but those are going to have to wait for a while. My budget to fix this truck is just about spent, lol.

Westview, a couple blocks up from Safeway. I'll keep my eye out for 3 Sport rims on Craigslist, interestingly the same ones that are shown in the above photo 3 posts back. BTW they have 1/2" more offset to the inside than the 3rd gen rims. This is OK if you are running 265's but anything wider will probably rub. That's why I'm not super excited about them, also because they reduce the track width by 1" which doesn't help for stability. But they are beautiful rims.
Actually my rig looks almost identical to that one. maybe el Guaco stole my rims!!!!!:wink:
