I FINALLY got my front setup finished after a saga of incorrect coils, etc. the HD’s are feeling pretty good, less down travel than I’d like on these Richmond potholes, though. Liking the OME 880’s so far. Hoping they settle to keep her level. This is right after install:

How much was the sport hood? I got a guy around where im at who is selling one for $500 bucks, and he wont come down on the price. The bad thing is that hi hood is the thundercloud metallic grey color, so i would it have to get it paint to my millennium silver.

500 to repaint is a waste. I missed this one for $125.

It was $200 even. And it was already Millennium silver. My mom just got into town the night before and I did not want to drag her around to find 4Runner parts about two and a half to three hours away. If I was by myself, I would have done it in a heartbeat.

installed a custom driveshaft on my 2wd to eliminate the vibration issues caused by that crappy OE shaft with the donut. i had 2 made so anyone needing on on there 2wd, let me know.

Was going to replace the drivers seat and back cushions today but...... ordered the wrong set!

So if you have NON SPORT seats and would like a deal on new cushions shoot me a PM. I guess NON SPORT seats would not have the lumbar or something.... not really sure. Mine are cloth, lumber adjustment and up/down adjustment for seat bottom.... NON SPORT must not have that.
I didn't really read thru all the options before ordering so now need to consider if I want to try and order the right cushions or try a local auto upholstery spot and see if they can make the cushions for me.

I did however take a lot of photos and will do a full front seat cushion replacement write up in 2 weeks when I am back in town.

Here is what the back cushion looked like after taking the seat apart... didn't take the bottom cushion all they way out due to having figured out I had the wrong part #'s. It's definitely due for replacing.....

Went out and tested my new Toytec lift with the Superflex coils in the back. Did AWESOME, but I ended up getting it stuck for the 1st time... ah well first time for everything, right?

Two big wins today --

Successfully got my clutch switch to start working again so I can start the car without have to use the 'clutch cancel switch.' I pulled it apart and cleaned up the contacts and now it's working great. It's not hard but I'll do a write-up at some point

Also I did a clean install of the microphone for my new receiver. I'm running Android Auto on it so the mic is used for navigation, texts, phone calls, playing music, etc.

It's not perfect, but I'm pretty damn happy with how it came out. It's mounted to the right of the rear window button:

Well.... I drove it home for the first time! How about that? Finally got a 3rd gen. At least it feels like an accomplishment.

Actually I did do something, albeit minor. Before getting home, I made a pitstop and bought a couple bottles of Seafoam, and put one in the fuel tank before filling it up. I'll try to find a good vacuum line for the other can, and might add some to the oil before an oil change, although that was recently done...

In the very short term, with winter upon us, I'd like to get some durable, heavy duty floor mats. Also, I only have one FOB. If there are any good recommendations for these items, please do share. I'll start searching the forum though...

I drove my first 3rd gen home about a month ago. It was like driving the holy grail. Haha. Congrats on the new ride
